It WAS part of Thrawn, and before you go back to the canon thing again, look at veers. He was sent on a suicide mission in the SW canon. But here, we can choose to keep him alive. Same goes for the squad, we can choose to have them defend the Imperial Remnant, or go help the EoH. He should be available as a part of Thrawn's Campaign, but in AoW, they should be just a part of the Empire of the Hand.

Your right, however, the 501st should also be available in campaigns without the Empire of the Hand with Thrawn and up.

Hero

I have a hero unit suggestion for the Imperial Remnant. The 501st division. This is an Elite group of soldiers dedicated to the Empire. A group of 30 Powerful Stormtroopers make up this squad.

While they are the best of the best, they cannot be respawned, they may be repurchased though, but only for a hefty price.

The 501st is available to all Empire Leaders, with the exception of Warlord Zsiji Campaign.

EDIT: I KNEW I forgot something

The maps should allow you to move and place units and sturctures, like FoC.

In star wars canon, there are two things sthat can destroy a planet during the emporer reborn time.

One is the galaxy gun that blew up byss when the eclipse 2 rammed it. This would require a Space tactical combat mission to protect it until the projectile is ready.

Another is a world devestator. This ravages the planet with large tractor beams until the planet is utterly destroyed. This would require a land tactical combat mission to protect it until the planet is ravaged enough to give it the final blow. For balance, it expends on use but gives a HUGE cash boost to the empire.

Well, a long chargeup time is still very unbalanced. I can just camp with hundreds of lancers/bombers/fighters/executor and wait until the laser is charged then blow up the 16000+ main space station. then finish off the rest of the shipyards and enemy.

Bring in many tartans and eclipse.
Zap station/everything else
Leave.
I am proposing that While the laser is charging up, all weapons, sheilds, and gravity control generators on the eclipse turn off, allowing the super laser to charge up. when it is done, the weapons and gravity control generator turn on, but sheilds need to recharge, allowing fighters/corvettes to damage the eclipse.
