I'll have some samples to send within two weeks. If we could get a rough outline of a script we could most done within three months. I work a 28 day shift offshore at a time but then I have 14 solid days free with no distractions so I can get a lot done.
I think it doesn't matter what we say, as long as it isn't too specific.

you're right. those voices do have to sound impressive, but it being a mod and not a full-blown game, it does lower the bar, if only barely (in my opinion, anyways). Different programs publish their file sizes differently, so it could just be a matter of finding the right one.

If you want me to voice anything, just let me know, I'd be more than happy to help! I suspect I'll be getting a new mic in the near future, depending on how my new one holds up. it already broke once...

I've been playing mods for a while now, and by now I've gotten used to Carrack cruisers saying "Nebulon B frigate here", as an example, but for a mod like this, I'm surprised that there's no custom audio tracks to make the Carrack cruiser captain say "Carack cruiser here". is there a reason behind this? would you like me to help with the audio?

there are barly any known ships for the vong, much less infantry/armor. The dev team would sure need to get creative with that faction.

I rely on build pads to defend planets when I don't have a strong enough defence force. one thing caught my eye recently. Why are there almost no build pads on any maps?

That's not really a hard thing to do, I wouldn't need to unlock their code to do it, but the reason we haven't is (1) it isn't espcially useful and (2) it only lasts for the duration of one battle, making it kind of pointless. Making it last throughout a GC is probably possible, but would be way too much work to figure out.


ah ok, I just haven't seen it done before in any other mod. I just thought it would be more effective than destroying a ship hardpoint by hardpoint, but that's just me.

update: I found the code, and it turns out to be an invisible hardpoint! the hardpoint does need to be placed somewhere on the model, but it can't be targeted, and has 00 hp. interesting...

So I was playing Galaxies at war the other day, and I noticed that the borg took over a couple of my ships! not destroyed, mind you, but litteraly assimilated  my ship for them to use. I start another skrmish, this time as the Borg, and it turns out that I CAN assimilate ships!

Anyways, seeing that I see the Empire of the Hand more of a craft faction and fannon unit dump site (almost) I figure, why not try to unlock the code, and use it to create a new and rather unique ship that can take over other ships? Just tossing ideas around, thought this might be interesting.

TL:DR : ONE SHIP TAKES OVER OTHER SHIPS.
