I guess I misspoke here. It was a maneuverable aircraft, but their lack of good tactics and experienced pilots is what really did them in.

This was their big problem. An island like that could not have hoped to keep up with the United States industrial might once the war started. Their technology also didn't advance much during the war either. For instance, their planes were pretty much outdated by 1944-45, and the United States was blasting them out of the sky. The Japanese also couldn't replace their losses, and it got to the point where they thought kamikaze attacks on American ships would be more effective than trying to engage them by conventional means (torpedoes, dive bombers, etc.) Nearly every factor (Industry, resources, replacing losses, technology, etc.) was working against Japan against the United States in the Pacific War. As others in the thread have said, unless the U.S. gave up the Pacific War if the Japanese had won at Midway, they were going to lose regardless of what happened.

I too have enjoyed watching these videos; I just watched this one the other day coincidentally enough. I agree with this video. The United States still would have won in the end. They had so many advantages over Japan in terms of manpower, industry, technology, etc, that it would have always been a matter of time until the United States won, especially with Japan so spread out over the Pacific. With this, I don't think Japan would have been able to win the war.

This looks like a very good change. I look forward to seeing it in action. I think it is well thought out, and gives the players some options on what they would like to do. The only suggestion I'd have would be to allow players to keep their current era if they choose, as others have suggested. I'm glad you're considering doing this for 2.3. But, this is definitely a great start!

I definitely enjoyed the trailer; I'm glad we finally got to see something on the movie!  :) Han is my favorite character from Star Wars, so I am definitely looking forward to seeing Solo. I'm also pretty happy they kept him as an Imperial dropout.

I've read those same reports, but there's no way that score isn't at least somewhat reflective of what the audience thinks. I wasn't the biggest fan of either TFA or TLJ (I did like Rouge One), but I was one of those who did think TLJ could have been waaayyy better than it turned out to be. I feel Disney missed a huge opportunity with TLJ. I think there are fans out there that were hoping for way more from TLJ after TFA left so much unanswered, and their reviews are reflecting that.

Disney had better be careful with the next few Star Wars movies they make. They may be in dangerous territory with some of the fan base. Looking at Rotten Tomatoes, I see that only 49% of audience members liked The Last Jedi. Critics seemed to like the film (91%), but a lot of fans really seemed to not like it. So it does seem to be a little more than the hardcore fans like ourselves who are a bit weary of Disney.

I'd like to be considered for a testing spot as well. I haven't logged into the forums, but I've been reading all of the updates (and come to the site about every other day, I just don't feel the need to log in), and have been watching Corey's play through videos on his YouTube channel as well. It's been awhile since I've tested, but I'd be more than capable of providing feedback on the mod. One of the reasons I still have FOC is because of Thrawn's Revenge, and I would love to contribute to a quality mod at some point in the process.

I would really like the Razors Kiss Mission for Zsinj as well as bringing the Wraiths commando missions into play to add a more commando/hunt feel to the GC.

For the PA I'd suggest the founding mission of the PA talks where you have to travel through the New Territories as Kaine to collect the 5 members of the PA for the units or heroes. Possibly save Grand Admiral Grant from assassination to get him.

I like this idea too. I think a Bacta War GC would be pretty fun to play through.
The Razors' Kiss mission also sounds very fun, I think it would be really cool, but I imagine it would take a bit to implement it in the game.
