Discussion, Suggestions & Feedback / AI ships in defensive battle no longer retreat to their stations - Changed how?

Hello everybody,
I was wondering if you could help me understand something.
In a lot of mods (and the vanilla game i think), if you attack an enemy planet, in the space battle, the defending ships will all turn around and retreat to their space station. This makes it possible to jump in right behind them an win pretty easily, which also makes for somewhat uncinematic, non-tense battles.
This used to be the behavior in old versions of Thrawn's Revenge (i.e. ICW21), too. But it seems like this no longer is the case in current ones.
I was hoping to add this behavior to another mod (The New Jedi OrderCompilation in case that matters) , and maybe even make this change for the base game (as something of a mini-mod), but I couldn't find documentation of how this was done for your EaW mods.
How was this done? How would I change this myself / copy the changes you did?
I have no intentions of redistributing your work, but would love to know how this works.
Thanks a lot, and have a nice day!
