« on: June 09, 2012, 09:11:57 PM »I dont think the Empire of the Hand will get anymore ground units in 2.0 because their ground units consist of some of the best in the Game such as the Megamaser Tank which can destroy almost anything in 1 or 2 shots but its balanced by having a long charge time.
While it's true that the MMT has the most damage in a single pulse in the game, this doesn't actually mean much. It's good for what it does, however it has some severe limitations. If it attacks an AT-AT from behind it will win outright, however in a face to face fight the MMT always gets destroyed before it can get the killing show off, and in the case of smaller vehicles where it is unsupported it will often lose to a company or a company and a half of them. The greater number of T4's in a company often mean that the MMT will be unable to effectively combat them. It seems more like a more direct and less frigile version of artillery.
For their other vehicles they have the Rapid Fire Tank, the Kirov and the Flame Tank, which while effective as anti-infantry vehicles, are useless against anything else. The AT-CW seems entirely useless to me.
Just looking at the 2.0 additions for the New Republic shows how outclassed the Empire of the Hand is on land. They're getting air units, an anti-air unit, a medium vehicle which can probably mop up against infantry as well as a lot of vehicle types (maybe even the MMT if there's enough per company) and the Heavy Tracker which I'm pretty unfamiliar with.
