Title: Forum Issues
Post by: Vulcanus on April 30, 2014, 06:27:45 PM
Apparently my initial post was cut off and 90% does not show at all, so I am delaying the release until message board problems are fixed.

I figured it out; if you're copy-pasting from Word, SMF forums will have a problem displaying it (as will most forums, from what I understand) because Word did some weird stuff with their alphabet. Your posts shouldn't be cut off if they're written either in the actual posting thing here, or in Notepad/Wordpad.

IT only seems to happen for me if I copy from word. I write all the News posts with plenty of weird characters and it's never seemed to be an issue. Did that cut off after being copied from something or just typed in here?

Originally copied from Word to Notepad, then from Notepad  to here. Seemingly Word is the problem here. Just need to keep it in mind in the future. In the meantime, I posted download link for my submod, will write installation instructions and list features later here, but they are included in the mod files.

I just updated the forum database thingy to UTF-8 and tried, seems to work no matter where you copy from now...We'll see what happens.
