what will this fix include?

It'll include the fixes listed when there are fixes to list. I've been giving them a few days to come in before I actually start working on anything so I have time to deal with school starting and some real life stuff (as well as doing more on Ascendancy)

I understand, I myself have been frantically busy with Army PT and other duties myself(Though I always save a few hours for my precious Alignment)

No "may crash if used older saves" this time? Wouldn't like to restart but well in the hotfix 1.0 my saves worked :)

"This may cause a crash if you use an old save." is on the download page.

Fixing all that stuff is great but I belive you should have waited a bit more just to look for anymore problems and probably avoid the hotfix 3 .

We already waited a month, and I wanted to sort out the issue with the crash if the PA kills Thrawn in a tactical battle for the era advancement. One of four factions being unable to advance beyond the second era 80% of the time really isn't something I want sticking around, and as it is unless another major crash comes out, we won't be doing another hotfix anyways. We couldn't start on 2.1 until the last hotfix for 2.0 came out, and this is that.

In any case, by that logic, we should never release anything until we're 100% sure absolutely nothing's wrong with anything (which will never, ever be the case, both with this mod, any other mod, or any commercial game. Anyone who says otherwise is lying to you).

Just to know are you going to fix the base layout problem in the galactic mode? I would bet you will fix it in 2.1

Apparently there wre compiling issues when the installer was checking version differences. I'll try to fix it, for now I've removed the patch.

Are the ones who downloaded it (me) supposed to do something about it?

No, but if anyone tries to steal your computer don't let them.

Of course I won't as long as they don't have any kind of light saber or something like that (You joke was bad, but my answer is defently worse XD)

I've posted a new version of it as a beta this time to make sure it does what it should.

So is it supposed to work despite having already installed the hotfix 2? And may cause crash on older saves?
Title: Re: Hotfix Notes 2 [Beta: 21/10/2012]

No, you need to go back to Hotfix 1 to install it, and the crash on old saves thing is going to apply with any changes we ever make.

Just put your email address into the place where the site asks for it, and it'll email you a link, which you then can use to download the patch.

is it only for steam?
Title: Re: Hotfix Notes 2 [Beta: 21/10/2012]

No, there's no difference between the mod files for the retail version and the mod files for Steam so there'd be no reason it'd be Steam only, and even if it only worked for the Steam version that would have absolutely no impact on people's ability to download it, it's just a file that you download and run, it's not some sort of auto-updating patch client.

It is really simple.

Go to the link on the first page.
Click it.
Enter your email.
Click "Request download link".
Go to your email inbox
Open the email from Filehosting.org
It will have a link in the email ending in "ICWHotfix2.exe"
Click on that link or copy the whole thing into your address bar.
Go to that link.
Click on download.
When the window pops up, click "Save as"
Then when it downloads, run ICWHotfix2.exe and install it to your ICW folder.

You probably have a popup blocker or something then. I just downloaded it 3 times to make sure, so its definitely working.
