That's not spoiler. It was on the newspapers at the end of last year.

Was it because of Order of the pheonix that you stopped? The Half Blood Prince was  good.

Not what I was referign to, but anyways.....I sense a lot of envy from you....I mean,  I am perfect in every single way and it generates a lot of envy, I'm used to it.

On topic, anyone else noticed the books getting darker?

I swear, I've read that exact message somewhere else... Well, the second part anyways.

Yes, I have. But as Harry gets older, he gets challenged with worse and worse stuff, asnd the readers are older too. By book 12, assuming there were more than 7 HP books, Harry would probably be cutting himself, have black hair, and dress completly in black all the time. Wait a minute...

I meant that he already does that stuff... or at least offers to. Either way, Marauders are going down.

Harry kills Voldemort or Voldemort kills Harry. Dumbledore already said the prophecy was definately referring to Harry.

maybe they kill each other... or perhaps, someone else tries to kill Voldermort (squish him under the knight bus :P) and accidently end up killing them both... that would be an interesting twist...

Meh. Voldemort kills Harry, Harry survives in the form of blood in Voldemort's veins.

For some reason, I don't think that the mirror that Sirius gave Harry will work from the dead, But if it does that would be an interesting plot turn.

It doesn't. Says so in the sixth book.

Rowling said it would appear, I have no idea how it would be used, but it will be there.

since sirius didnt have the mirror with him when he went through the veil, i assume that it is in Grimauld place - therefore it is possible that at somestage when they are going through the stuff there (i think this likely because i reckon that RAB was regulus black, and the locket from book 5 that they couldnt open was the horcrux - and when they realise this and go looking for it in Grimauld place they find the mirror [but i reckon that Mundungus will have taken the locket] ) - then they can repair the one Harry has and use them to communicate

There has been a lot of discussion about who are the two main characters who will die. But first: Who do you count as main character?

anyone who has had an important role in more than one of the books

I hope Harry will die.

maybe Dudley will die to save Harry, then when Voldemort tries to kill him again the curse will backfire, and kill Voldemort (having had the horcruxes destroyed earlier in the book) - but this time even though the curse backfires, the residual energy of it kills Harry as well - it would make a nice twist.

But then there would be quite many main characters in the series. There are many of those sort of characters.

which would give JK a wider range of characters from which to choose to kill one and reprieve another two - and thats just what i think as being a main character

how about Lupin or Pettigrew - they're the last members of the marauders - Pettigrew has a life-debt to Harry, and Lupin is probably interested in his wellbeing (maybe enough to travel with him in his quest, or die for him)

Pettigrew could be one. Remeber that Dumbledore said that Pettigrew had to thank Harry that he was alive. Maybe he sacrifices himself?
