Well I'm sure there is more, but these are the ones I can come up with off the top of my head. enjoy
-
hard to pick. sun crusher or DSII. I'll choose DSII.
-
I'll go with the Sun Crusher, although they all have flaws, and the use of any is morally ambiguous at best..
-
Sun crusher is great at ramming ships. but the main weapon is stupid. and if DS II would be filled with normal turbolasers, ion cannons etc it would be great too.
-
im leaning towards centerpoint. both death stars are far too easy to destroy. also darksaber malfunctioned and blew up so thats a pretty bad superweapon. ummm sun crusher is good........ dark reaper yeah......
-
also darksaber malfunctioned and blew up so thats a pretty bad superweapon.
That was more down to the Hutts economising on the material for construction than any design deficiency..
-
DSII. I just loved the way it was portrayed in the movie.
-
star forge, its the only superweapon that could have potentially been used for good.
-

Wrong. It fed off dark side energies. The sun crusher (my pick) and the two Death Stars could have been used for good anyways. Mining and destroying dangerous planets and star systems before they kill anyone.

yes but the design wuz never used after that. perhaps if it succeeded in a firing sequence i would think otherwise but i think of it as a failure.

How could destroying a planet be for the good of the people. I could see using DS II to prevent a fate similar to Serindipal, but destroying a planet?
-
if the planet was useless and had no life. maybe it should be destroyed to make way for a new lightspeed route. and destroyin asteroids it would be very efficient. so DSII is good choice. also in a way that it can destroy enemy forces without destroying everything, unlike DSI.
-
even feeding off of dark side energies, the star forge was cabable of making anything... it could have been used productivly to help others

The original DS could destroy fleets, because the prototype could. It just did not get the chance.
-
Nope. Its targeting system wasnt good enough to hit anything ship sized. It also had a very long recharge time for the superlaser, which would prohibit efficient use against fleets, in any case.
-
were not really talking about how it could be used for good. none of these superweapons were used for good. this is about which one you think is the best.
-
all of them were built for evil purposes plain and simple.
i suppose they could have been used against the vong. then again when they used centerpoint against the vong things didn't go too well.
-
The StarForge would be good against the Vong; it wouldn't really attack you. The disruptor field might have interfered with their dovin basals. Even the Vong can't defeat an infinite fleet.
-
a superweapon you forgot was the orbital nightcloak. i believe there are models in the foc data, but they sound pretty poor, and you would be unable to work them into FOC.
-
galaxy gun by far
-
I kind of like the Galaxy Gun.
-
who wouldn't. load in a nuke big enough to kill a planet and launch it from accross a galaxy. thats like the greatest way to kill your opponent. when he can't strike back period
-
I personally think its kind of pointless. I mean, if i destroy the planet the enemy is on, we both lose. He dies, but i dont get the prize.
-
depends on what your goal is really. from a practical perspective its better to kill the enemy rather than kill yourself
-
whats my favorite superweapon? Luke Skywalker
-
he's not a superweapon.
-
yeah he is. harry potter is as welll. ever heard of that yellowstone supervolcano, he caused it.
-
Those superweapons on the list, Luke either helped in killing or did it himself, he is a superweapon
-
destroying a superweapon does not make one a superweapon. If some person is a superweapon I would say Darth Nihilus. He killed everyone but one person on a planet.
-
thats an excellent point. HOWEVER, a person can't really be considered a weapon. not to mention, nihilus didnt kill those people, he used the force to do it. the force is the superweapon in that situation.
-
you're right. Nihilus is just the "gunner" how activates the weapon and fires it.
-
I wonder why you didn't include that superweapon you are allready using (Leia Organa Solo, page around 200, Vision of the Future)? :D
Anyway i like Star Forge cause its BIG, rally OLDschool and sorta Force powered and so thats what counts ;)
-
ok then heres a good one jack bauer
-
otherwise very good and powerful superweapon but it isn't part of the Star Wars. yet.
-
i dispise super weapons
-
...both death stars are far too easy to destroy...
I have to say I dont consider hitting a 2m wide thermal exhaust port perfectly to be a particularly easy task... and flying the Falcon into the reactor core of the DSII I'm sure was no walk in the park for Lando either.
I say the first DS be my favorite (planet full of enemies... hit any key to delete!)
-
i dispise super weapons
good luck being an effeciant commander then
-
Thrawn was an efficient commander who didnt use superweapons..
-
What about K'Krukhs hat and Chuck Norris?
-
What about K'Krukhs hat and Chuck Norris?
Chuck would own the Empire.
-
The Emperor shines his shoes and eats the dirt and such from his beard.

HERESY...
Never say that again.... Never...
-
This isn't going to generate into a discussion about Chuck Norris or Kyle Katarn.
-
the star forge is not a weapon is it
-
I think so.
-
well it's ability to feed off the dark side and throw endless amounts of well anything makes it a force to be reckoned with. a superweapon doesnt have to have a giant laser on it to be a superweapon.
not to mention argue with wookiepedia. it lists it as a superweapon
-
well, in function, it is a dark side relic which feeds from Rakata's star and the dark side to create years of buildig in mere minutes. it is also in possession of a disruptor field, destroying ships which get near the station. so, all in all, it is both a weapon and a tool.
-
I prefer to called it SUPERWEAPON, tool sounds nearly like toy ;D
-
DS II vs Starforge? ???
-
lol i love the darksaber for some reason. i used darksaber 997 for an email for like 6+ years lmao!
-
World Devastator, definitely. You can suck up enemy bases, fleets, and even planets, and build your own fleets and armies out of them! Now that's what I call irony... ;D
-
definatly the shawken device even though i didn't work.
-
The Star Forge wins for me, because of it's unique nature as a factory rather than a "true" weapon. It is the only one that can help whoever controls it actually maintain control the galaxy instead of using the Tarkin "rule through fear" doctrine. In combat, the disruptor field would have been quite effective at keeping enemy ships far away from the Star Forge itself. Not to mention, the true extent of its power to was never known, even to its creators. Darth Malak's "experiment" was probably only the tip of the iceberg.
-
I'd say either the World Devastators or the Star Forge. They were both leagues more efficient than the others. I think destroying an entire planet is just silly. I'd say probably the World Devastators win for me because they could self replicate eventually, and you could be more selective with what they well, devastated.
-
in my opinion the ultimate weapon is the force itself, especially the dark side
-
the galaxy gun was precise so it is cool
-
I've voted the Deathstar II but I prefer the SSD Eclipse, that is hell of a ship, the super laser of the deathstar with the cool looking of a star destroyer
