Has there been any consideration for adding Dark troopers for any of the imperial factions?

The Dark Trooper project was detroyed and discontinued several years before the battle of Endor. There wouldn't be a significant number of them left during the mod's time period.

There were the Dark Empire dark troopers who had the force.

Are you talking about the Dark Elites?  They weren't dark troppers, they were just dark side force sensitives with a modicum of training.  They weren't even powerful enough to be considered jedi/sith, they were just force users.

Dark troopers (except phase zero) were droids, not living beings.

A faction oculd rediscover them?

 If you wanted to created your own faciton a droid based imperial one could work. TIE tanks, the Droid figters, Dark Troopers+ any rediscovered CIS tech.
