Title: Can we have more variety in the game's music for 2.2/2.3, please?

Is there any chance of you guys adding more music to the mod in 2.2 or 2.3? There seems to be a very limited selection of pieces for the game to choose from to play in 2.15, so the music is very repetitive. I mean, I love Star Wars music, but even I get tired of hearing the same song played over and over again. I don't know how moddable the game's music is, but if you could expand upon it, John Williams and others have made so much amazing music for Star Wars, I'm sure there's plenty of pieces that would be good additions to the mod.

That'd be nice. Plucky and determined for the New Republic, oppressive and gloomy for the Imperial factions. We need to get some cheerful and pompous in there, respectively. Also, I honestly wouldn't mind Thrawn's music from Rebels for the Empire of the Hand, unless you can find someone to cook up something new.

Ooh, now that could be fun. (Thrawn's music (https://youtu.be/eLVM6Aa3ik8), for anyone who's interested. The best bit starts at about 2:34.)

I would like them to add soundtracks from the new movies the rebel fanfare during scariff is amazing, also rey's theme or the battle on crait, all of the resistance themes, etc... because music doesn't matter if it belongs to canon or not.

Scarif makes some sense. I'd rather not have anything from TFA, as that score is a bit too lukewarm by Williams' standard. Also, I mentioned Thrawn's music because that's all we've got for him.

....because music doesn't matter if it belongs to canon or not.

I feel like that's subjective.

Generally, if I were to be playing a mod about a separate version of a universe that already has an official interpretation to it, I wouldn't think I'd like to hear the official interpretation's music. It wouldn't fit, especially since I know the source of where it came from. Some new, custom (and possibly fan-made) music wouldn't hurt Imperial Civil War, though. I'd say it'd have to be in Empire at War's "general ambiance"-style, but that's besides the point. It would also be a heavy chore making special music for every faction.

I wouldn't mind some "inspired" music of the canon interpretation, though...

While we would like to have other music, the difficulty there is that while Disney and PG tend to allow the use of their IP for mods and fan works, distributing ripped copies of the actual music is more frowned upon and it's impossible to put the music in the mod without then effectively offering pirated copies of the songs. We did it in Ascendancy because otherwise there would be no SW music in-game, and quite frankly, Ascendancy is slightly lower profile than ICW, so there's a higher chance of it becoming a problem and so far that hasn't seemed worth it, even if it's a small risk. For people who really want more music, it's a relatively easy thing to put in yourself anyways

Alright, thanks for answering. :) Maybe someone can make a post to explain how people can add more music themselves. Or perhaps I'll just have to delve into the file system and see what it looks like; I haven't done that with EaW yet IIRC...
