Hi, I know that they're pretty far off, but I've been wondering what the hapan fleet doctrine will be like. After some very cursory research I found that in the books, the hapans focused on overwhelming their opponents in battle. Can we expect weaker capital ships with a lot of frigate and cruiser support?

We haven't made too many final decisions, they probably won't have as much power on the high end and will resort to overwhelming force when effective, but they won't have the same kind of expendable frigates like the IR and PA situation, their ships should be individually quite good. The thought I had with them, which again isn't quite implemented yet, was high up-front burst damage with their missiles and ion cannons, with low sustained damage from turbolasers in initial phases because of highcooldown rates, but after a little bit their cooldown speed increases and their damage levels off. So, excel in really quick fights, terrible in shorter to medium fights, decent in really long ones where they can get their cooldowns set up and get another few full salvos of missiles.

That sounds really cool, I like where you're taking things. I look forward to getting playing them however many years from now that they are released.
