Title: Procurator-class Star Battlecruiser
Post by: taupin121 on September 14, 2017, 07:25:10 AM

Not sure if you are aware but Ansel Hsiao had produced a visual for the Procurator : http://fractalsponge.net/?p=2630

Here's the wiki file of the ship for those not familiar with it : http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Procurator-class_Star_Battlecruiser

Hmm... don't get me wrong, he has made some great models and all, but I really don't feel this one, his prior ones I liked more. First thought was, that it looks like a Star Destroyer with small pox ;x and it kinda doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the roster of that time, more like some side project prototype Kuat made for experimental purposes... though I liked how he played with the shape and made it look beefy and though I usually like how much details he adds, I somehow feel like he's overdone it here. Not a bad model, but one that kinda has to grow on me, I guess, and I somehow struggle to really explain why.

It really look like a vessel from Imp Era but it was produced about to centuries before the Clone Wars. But I still found it imposing and like it.

And of course, it's good to see him trying to give visual for Legends ships.

Looks more like an Imperial Era Battlecruiser.
But i still like it though it is a bit "bulky" if you know what i mean.

actually like the look. good to see he is sticking with the Bulky designs(see assertor)
i got to say, for the 200 years prior thing, looks like the empire recycled the design for the ship. would LOVE to see this in TR for a 4th battlecruiser for the empire and for some Imperial warlords variaty even more. No corey, not pressuring you yet, but if this could show up in ICW 2.3, FOTR 0.6, or ASC 1.2 that would be awesome. also, on the republic note, we have a heavy ship for the Republic fleets now guys

I really don't like this.
From one side, as many of us pointed out it looks very imperial when it should be an at least 2000 years old ship.
From the other side the engines look extremely bad.
In an another note, the superstructure looks waay too weird for my taste. From one side it still looks kina imperial, but if they pushed the sides further back and... it just looks plain ugly.
In the meanwhile the citiscape in the middle of the ship looks very ragged and out of place to the otherwise flattened superstructure, or the sleek but bulki outer hull.
It also looks veird that the top of the ship is bulky and the bottom is plain flat.
Maybe it would have looked better if the ship would have took up a full on pyramid look.
Would have been unique at least

I really dislike the design its just flat out ugly, I get its FS himself. However this one was kinda a flop, hell I like the mega Star destroyer better. At least there is a reason for its design

While maybe ugly, people have said the NR stuff is ugly. Everyone has their own tastes. While not the best, it is interesting. Also, for the sake of diversity, it is a good pick for another unique battle cruiser,.

I don't think it's really bad looking, I just think it looks WAY too imperial age-ish for something that's hundreds of years old.  I know it was still a death triangle, but I would hope for a more dreadnaught-esque death triangle.
