Question about the AI for the New Republic. For some reason, when playing as the Empire in The Art of War, when I look up the history, it seems like the New Republic just sits on all of its cash. Not necessarily a bad policy (saving for a rainy day and all), but I'm wondering if they do any investment in building capital ships, etc. It would seem like if all they're gonna do is sit on cash, they're gonna be a pretty lousy opponent. Unless there's some grander plan at work that I'm not aware of...
