Assuming Isard just died and you're in Era 2, that's correct. Thrawn leaving the Empire of the Hand to lead the Imperial Remnant is exactly what happened in the lore.

He probably wouldn't have let open war between the two factions arise, but EaW doesn't handle allies all that well.

That makes since! Ok so that's why the girl left as well, anyway I can make a few super star destroyers? It took my whole fleet to destroy one and it had reinforcements. After I got the shields down it was easy since I had lots of ties/ships. But if I had one I would be unstoppable!

Big capital ships, like the Syndic and later the Phalanx, are your intended damage capitals ships and for using against SSD classes. Somewhere on the forums is guide to killing SSDs, it'll help you.
