What Faction do you think is the hardest to win with like advancement's, defenses, ect.

Given that 1 of those isn't playable yet, 2 are only in the demo it's kinda comparing apples to oranges...
That said, it varies greatly by Era. Era 1 it's pretty hard to win as the NR, Era 4, cakewalk.

early era is NR, ending eras I'd say remnant. It really depends on what gc you're playing.

NR in Era 1 simply for how your worlds and fleets are scattered with no links between many of them.

NR in era 1 isn't great. You are under the gun from the IR in the south and the Pentastar in the North. EoTH has the best position, best ground units (sides death lasers), and pretty good cap ships in era 1

I would say GM for 2.2 and NR for 2.1

Well no surprise here that I think NR is in a bad spot when it comes to earlier eras. BACs, K-Wings and Nebula SDs push them over the edge though when they get them.
Though I don't think I've ever had a more entertaining time with ICE than playing GM. You get loads of fleet commanders and the CC Victories are great. Your defensive position isn't that bad either, but isn't as good as Zsinj and requires rapid expansion to be able to control the major choke-points and then cordon off the rest of your holdings.
I'd say NR in the Demo is hardest since you have to contend with losing 4 planets or so when Zsinj inevitably gets too ballsy and tries to attack one of your border planets with an Ion cannon on the surface. That and Mon Calamari and a bunch of your heroes are cut off from your main power base on the other side of GM's holdings.
