Discounting a super ship, how would this attack fleet fare? Intended for before access to Veneators and Preators.
3 ISD2s (12)
2 VSD2s (6)
2 VSDs (6)
2 Immoblizers (6)
5 TIE Carriers (10)

No need for the second Immobilizer - if you're going for fighter overload, just replace it with another TIE carrier. Else, you could swap it and a carrier or two for a more fleshed out support fleet - Carracks can be great support for dealing with NR capital ship shields, a couple Lancers can support your TIE swarms, etc.

I don't really see a point of using Carracks for my playstyle. I understand their uses but the number of Destroyers I field I feel I can take on the MC classes and come out on top. Especially with the VSD2s. In addition the second Immoblizer is not really for trapping the enemy, instead the two are supposed to be within the ISD2s using middle jamming to deflect bombers and DP20s and MC90s. The laser cannons are a bonus. Lastly I hate Lancers for their slow speed and low health, as such I'd rather field more Escort Carriers.
And oh, should I use Acclamtors when I get them?
Alright here's a pontetial alternative that I haven't taken the time to test because busy playing Operation Shadow Hand as the NR.
2 Carrack (2)
5 Lancer (5)
2 Strike Cruiser (4)
1 Immobilizer (3)
2 VSD (6)
2 VSD2 (6)
3 Escort Carrier (66
2 ISD2 (8)
