Title: Infinties: Capital Clash
Post by: Illidan Stormrage on November 06, 2016, 03:05:40 PM
This GC could be made in 2 ways.
First is that it us similar to FTGU but You have Your Capital and 3 Natural Planets/Warlord planets. You get most(excluding SSd Heroes Sorry Kaine and Paps) of your heroes no matter what and some ground forces. You start with 15,000 credits and are told to take all the Capitals on the map along with the Natural/Independent planets.

The other way is that it is a progressive Era Gc map with less than 40 planets(Bigger isn't always better) And the Capitals provide larger incomes.

Interesting I like your Ideas Thrawn. But I would like to see a GC with One starting Hero and then go out and recruit other Heros And Units for your Faction and even Heros and units for Other Factions (With in Reason of Course).

The stuff from other factions is not a good one. that means the team should create a variant for the faction you are playing as, which means more hard drive requirements and that unit has to be locked down for every other GC trough story scripting which is impossible for every faction other than the Remnant, Hand and New Republic.

I know, a lot of things would be cool, but when posting ideas please try to keep the game's limitations in mind.
For example, I would really like a Total War style in-faction-politics and diplomacy system with clearly visible sectors, hundreds of planets and dozens of warlords, but the game's engine just can't take it at all. If you are over 100 planets it already starts to struggle, over 125 it starts developing small glitches, and the Unit selection freeze is starting to become more and more of a problem. I know we can fix it, but it is not an in-game software, and we really should avoid the need for players to quit the game every second in-game week, use a second software to fix everything, restart the game(which means wait until it stands up again) and then repeat.
Sorry, I'm rambling... Point is, this game has limits what the team is already pushing more and more. Please keep this in mind.
