I know people often complain about how bad the pathing is for the AT-AT, there's definitely validity to those statements but I'm gonna tell you how to make them work. The earlier tiers before the XR-85s the AT-AT is the most powerful ground unit and even after the XR-85 they can still be very useful. I have found three in a line told to walk is a great offensive tool with hordes of stormtroopers making a screen for them. Another way you can use them if you don't have the stormtroopers reserves to spam them in horde is to use one unit of artillery to out-range a larger force and use a couple AT-AT in front of them to catch the aggroed enemy forces. I just want to say don't tell AT-AT to attack move just use normal movement, it will save you a lot of headaches.
That's how I make my AT-ATs work.

As the PA, a good strategy is to pair up 2 AT-AT's with Century Tanks. Century tanks are absolutely DEVASTATING to infantry, and with their speed and light turbolaser are effective anti-artillery.

I rarely ever use AT-ATs at all. As the PA they're unnecessary and as the IR I might bring in one but just for infinite disposable scouts for my artillery, and even then I retire them to garrison duty after XR-85s come out.

Actually, as the PA I rarely use them either. But once in a while it's still fun just to dump some AT-AT on the enemy and watch their slow plod of destruction.
