I think Silencer 7 (largest world devastator) could be in the game as a super class capital ship that is repaired from Mon Calamari and provide production of XR-85s and AT-ATs in orbit to barracks for which ever faction that builds it; this would represent that there was human/alien labor that was needed to use the production facilities. Obviously in the GC Operation Shadow Hand this would allow the New Republic to acquire it first giving them a much needed weapon against the crazy onslaught of Eclipse, Reaper (SSD), and Sovereign Class super star destroyers. In the fluff the New Republic did use World Devastators so its not that far fetched that they could've repaired the largest one and sent it against the Empire. In the game it would just be a Super Capital shit that could act similar to a Praetor that spawns Droid Tie Fighters.
Thoughts?

What do you mean whatever faction builds it? You mean have it as a unit that's open to all factions but can only be built at Mon Cal?

Yeah I was thinking either Imperial Remnant or New Republic could build it as long as they had Mon Calmari. Since the New Republic starts with that planet they would have it first but if the Imperials capture later they can build it too. The fluff could be the New Republic repairs the original Silencer 7 and then when the Imperials take Mon Calmari they just make a new one from all the spare wreck World Devastators.

Well, the only major flaw I see with that is they weren't ever BUILT at Mon Cal (well a small one might have been built by S7 there), yes they were destroyed there, but were never built there.

I'm aware that that wasn't the original location they were built but the New Republic did scavenge and use World Devastators. The Imperials building a new Silencer 7 out of spare parts would be a balancing factor because they start so strong to begin with. Also, the World Devastator invasion on Mon Calmari was one of the first things that happened in Operation Shadow Hand which was unsuccessful. So its not that far fetched that the imperials would scrounge up a new Silencer 7 or the New Republic repairing the original.

The NR would NEVER utilize a World Devastator for anything more than scrap.

Just like the NR vowed never to utilize SSDs because of their use as terror weapons . . . Plus I'm sure Alpha Blue would have loved the schematics. But yes I agree.
In the end though World Devastators really lend themselves more to Sins (which they are in) than in EaW. Their primary use is as a superweapon and EaW really doesn't handle those well.

To scrap other ships.

To scrap other ships.
It was still used, and if they needed it to fight the Eclipse, if Palpatine didn't destroy it. Not to mention they operated Bellator SSD during the Thrawn campaign on top of Wedge's Lusankya. The New Republic would've used it in an offensive role if needed.

They only used one after the crisis as a salvage/demolish shipyard kind of thing. They almost immediately closed it down and scrapped it due to protest.
The NR never considered them for combat. The Empire could have it but implementing it might be difficult.

Though the hypothetical question of destroying the eclipse through space combat, its not too far out of the realm of possibility. When you're talking about it never was considered for combat, well Palpatine did the New Republic a favor by destroying the most powerful SSD to ever exist. I just thought it would be a fun little idea to give the New Republic something to play with in Era 3.
edit added some words to make what I'm saying a bit clearer.
