Title: Hello
Post by: derp on May 12, 2016, 05:50:34 PM
I'm a star wars expanded universe fan and I've been a long time lurker of these forums. I would say 2.15 currently my favorite faction to play is Imperial Remnant Era 4-5 but I definitely enjoy playing the other factions. I'm really looking forward to 2.2 warlords! Also, if you don't want to refer to me as derp you can call me Jon.

because no matter how you call yourselves, you are just rebel scum.
The empire brought peace to the galaxy and would have been fine unltil you came, ruining everything.
A video I recommend for every rebel scum:

Not our fault that the Empire brainwashes people so that all creative talents are erased, leaving them barely more than cogs in the war machine.  Maybe if the Empire focused more on encouraging creative expression than it does on controlling people, it would have better writers.

Creative expression is most vital for our Empire, how would our greatest tactician know how do defeat tur forces if it were not for your species' creative art. So we thank you very much for retaining your artists and writers.

Also, this reminds me of something Corey said a while ago:

borderline-creepy attempts at roleplaying

This couldn't be what he was referring to, right?

Creative expression is so vital, you had to leave the Empire and hire outside talent to appreciate it. ;)

Did you forget that creativity has many faces?
We decided to use ours for battle tactics. You have to be creative there too...
Poetry is not everything. And you say we are the ones who are not creative. You should be more creative, our nemesis

Exactly. Creative yet functional is our motto. Why do you think our warships are so stylish?

Also, if we are talking about underrepresented factions on the forums, the real underdogs are the Hapans and Ssi Ruuk.

Imperial tactics are creative now?  Since when was "throw a bunch of expendable troops who can't aim at them" considered creative? ;)

Hey, those expendable troops are the distractions in most cases and they CAN aim.

I'm willing to grant some of the cases the guy makes, but far from all of them.  I made it to the point where he defends the stormies missing Solo outside the Falcon during the liftoff from Mos Eisley, and the apologetics became WAY too strong with that video and I couldn't keep going. ;)

For every point one can make regarding Ep. IV and the stormtroopers intentionally missing so the heroes can lead them to Yavin, all I need to do is point to Jedi and them losing to a bunch of carebears with no stares. ;)

Bah.  Another unreconstructed Imperial.
I'm quite the New Republic fan when we're talking about Era 4-5, I love those Nebula Class Star Destroyers and Wedge is a boss. The reason I prefer Imperials Era 4-5 the challenge that you get from the New Republic because lets be honest New Republic doesn't have much bite in Eras 1-3 compared to their competition.
