I had a really interesting idea for a unique Era 5 ship for the IR. The Eye of Palpatine was a massive 19km spherical dreadnaught that was built into the shell of an asteroid. It was intended to be used to exterminate a hidden group out Jedi, but it was sabotaged on its way and ended up lost in space for some time. It was however later reactivated in an attempt to gain more power for the IR. It was however destroyed before it could meet up with the IR fleet. It was very well armed with tons of special heavy turbolasers and could carry a ton of Starfighters of various types. It could be put into Era 5 as a unique ship for the IR and would be acquired in a similar manner to the Knight Hammer. Capture a particular planet and the Eye will be added to your fleet. It would give the IR a little trump card since they are on the ropes in Era 5. but it would be a one of a kind ship forcing you to use it wisely against the NR's masses of Starfighters which can overwhelm a lone ship if it is lacking in support. Basically it would be a more well armed Executor class with a larger Starfighter complement, but weaker shields due to it being an older design. It is a cool ship so it was worth a shot suggesting it.

Couple of problems here.
The Eye was never used by any main Imp faction after Endor. It was not affiliated with anyone. Closest you could say would be Harrsk(due to the Ismaren connection, which was tenuous at best)
It was also destroyed almost as soon as it was discovered. Plus the IR in era five still have Praetors and a few heavy ships and territory. I don't see it adding anything really new to the game.

I thought IR only gets Praetors in Era 3?

They do only get them in era 3 era 5 is only executor
