Title: Laser Cannon Target Prioritization

Hi, my group of friends have just recently picked up the mod and we're having a lot of fun with it, but I'm noticing a frustrating aspect of the fighter spam. Several times when I have ordered escort ships such as the Lancer Frigate, Corellian Corvette and Nebulon B to target enemy strike craft they have instead targeted the ship which launched that particular squadron. They seem to be doing this on auto attack as well, only choosing to use their laser cannon on the intended target once the large ships are all gone. The end result has been getting swarmed to death by enemy fighters despite the presence of 50 or 60 Lancers/Corvettes who are failing to act in their role as escort.  Is this intended behavior or a bug of some kind? Is it a flaw in my microing? I don't understand why it is happening and it is becoming very frustrating that I cannot effectively counter the TIE swarms.

Have to say I encounter the opposite. AA frigates make attempts to use fighters and bombers very tough for me atm.

Haven't seen this myself.  My Arquitens and CR90's have consistently always auto-targeted fighter craft.
