Hey guys just curious about everyone's favorite Capital Ships. I just put a list of some fairly common ones up, so yeah, what's your favorite Star Destroyer/Capital Ship? Mine has to go to the good ol' ISD II.
-
I tend towards Praetor and Interdictor.
In ICW i would rather build the Praetor over the Interdictor because you need the firepower.
But i do love the Interdictor Class Star Destroyers
You pack a good punch and your enemies can't escape from you.

Venator. They're fast for a capital ship, well armed (for their time frame), nice looking, and carries plenty of fighters. Praetor MK II would be second, with the Assault Frigate (not listed)#3.
-
Phalanx, I fear this more than a SSD (and i'm pretty sure I've killed more SSD than Phalanxs).
I'd then have MC-90 then the Assault frigate.
-
I didn't think the Assault Frigate would be a capital ship, but realizing now that it's just an upgraded Dreadnaught, I can see where people are coming from.

Yeah, since you had the Dreadnaught as a choice, and the Assault Frigate is an improved Dreadnaught...although I agree, in the late Old Republic era, I can see the Dreadnaught being classified as a capital ship, but by the beginning of the new order, I wouldn't.

MC80 Liberty/Home One for me.
I always loved the design of the Mon Calamari ships :)
-
Personally, my favorite would be the Harrower-class dreadnought. It looks like a Star Destroyer, but the bridge isn't as exposed and I like the design better overall. Of course, it fires red lasers instead of green ones.
Of all the ships listed, I'd go with the Lucrehulk-class battleship.
-
As much as I try to come up with a more original favorite capital ship, I always come back to the ISDII. It's practical, powerful, and beutiful all in one, and it's so multipurpose. It's like the multi tool of ships.
-
If you're counting the Gladiator as a capital ship, then you bet the Dreadnaught and Assault Frigates count, since they're bigger and stronger. The Dauntless and many others would also qualify.
As for me, I've got to agree with Zneih... I love the basic Imperator-class SD design, whether I or II. Going to give I the vote though, since it's the first we got to see in the movies oh so long ago.
-
I voted other because Crimson Victory II's weren't on the list.

They are so very nice looking.

Winged MC80. So sleek and elegant. So very form flowing.... Lovely lovely ships. The fact they have things like internal shield generators and what not just fully appeals to me as well.
-
ISD all the way. Nothing like the classics ;)
-
The venerable old Venator of course, nothing beats a designed based on Mandalorians right?
-
A Victory Class lover here! It a very versatile ship with a decent fire power and even have some atmospheric capacity, what is not to love about it?
-
Imperial II-class Star Destroyer for me, as not only was it is a refinement of the Acclamator, Venator and Victory Star Destroyer designs but also the pride of the Imperial Navy. I've chosen the mark II variant over the original due to its octuple barbette turbolaser batteries, giving it a powerful barrage when broadside and as such it presents a rightful display of Imperial power.
