Don't know if anyone would know why I'm getting 5fps not matter what my graphics are set to
Specs:
Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit
CPU: 2 Xeon X5355 Quad Core @2.66 Ghz
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 ti - 2Gb
Ram - 50gb DDR2
Any help would be appreciated

False alarm? Just did a skirmish and dipped 25-28fps, sometimes 11-18fps
For the past few days, maybe few months, I was getting 5fps on start up. The game was unplayable on Vanilla, FoC, and other mods, but this mod had it the worst.
Maybe it's just me

Yeah, no clue, your specs should DEFINITELY be able to run it, since the 660TI is still a very decent card, should be very nearly identical to my GTX 760 in performance.
-
The weirdest thing is that no matter what I set the video settings to, it doesn't affect the fps.
I'm having low fps again. I have about 6 Star Destroyers Mk II, plus Thrawn, and another hero come in on this one map and the fps stays around 8-14fps. I've tried raising all graphic settings to max, to min, and to auto detect. No difference.
I'm lost. I understand that my two processors are old, but they are just as old as the game. Should be fine.
You have any suggestions? What sounds like a good idea to get everything "like new " as possible?

I'm not near my pc to be able to say what the options are, but have you ensured it's using hardware rendering, not software? That's the ONLY thing that makes sense to me given the specs you have and that resolution doesn't affect it.
-
I've got the GTX 660 myself, and never have had a problem - I run huge battles without any noticeable framerate loss all the time. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling EaW and Thrawn's Revenge from scratch, in case something got corrupted somehow?
-
I tried finding out whether hardware acceleration was on and I can't access it. Apparently, a lot of people with Nvidia graphics cards can't access it. I assume it is on.
I reformatted my computer, fresh Windows 7 Ultimate, reinstalled Foc - it felt better.
Just got done with a skirmish on Thrawn's Revenge - 10-20fps in action.
Don't think my system can handle the mod. Might not be the graphics card as this seems like a CPU drainer, and my CPUs aren't the best.
I honestly have no idea. Maybe opening the computer up and dusting everything might help.
Would a corrupt Ram stick cause trouble with video games?
-
Corrupt ram will usually lead to a crash, not poor performance.
-
So I decided to upgrade my GPU all the way to a GTX 970.
The mod FEELS better, but the fps is still 15-25fps. I'd figure a powerhouse GPU would make it at least a constant 30fps
Am I the only one that thinks this is screwy?
-
Well, especially considering that the graphics settings didn't have any effect, I don't think the graphics card is your problem. I'm actually not convinced it's necessarily hardware, either... What's your framerate like on the galactic map?
-
Using FRAPS, my fps on the main menu dips from 17-30
On the galactic map, constantly changing from 85-87fps, while moving units/scrolling it goes as low as 50
what else could it be?
Also, I just did a Space skirmish 2v2 and was fine for a while. Once my partner and enemies started putting out reinforcements, my fps went to about 15-20. Once I got 3 mkII SDs out and Thrawn, fps was at a constant 10. Again, according to FRAPS
