Title: Let's Test Ascendancy #1: Hapan Space Happenings

Join developers Corey, Slevered, Kalo, Codeuser, Enceladus (until he DCs) and tester TLMiller as we do a playtest of Ascendancy on the Into the Cluster map. We likely can't actually finish this particular game considering the volume of edits we make between games at this point renders saves unusable, but we plan to put out a few videos showing our progress as we approach release. Keep in mind this is all alpha footage, so there's plenty in an unfinished/placeholder state. The point of these videos is to show our progress and what's left to be done, and prove the mod exists. I'll get better at talking and doing more interesting camera work while playing as we go as well, ideally.

How quickly you can go through and do things just blows me away.  I am just not that fast at queuing commands.

The goal is to do them once a week on Saturdays/Sundays since those are may days off, and we're gonna be playtesting the mod anyways.

Actually I was blue, Corey just put the wrong color.  I just actually watched the ending of the video, and he cut the video before they all ganged up and absolutely crushed me.  But not overly long after the video ends, Everyone still left in the game and not allied with me (Corey, Slevered, and CodeUser) all gang up on me and just absolutely ERRADICATE me.

Well, as it was we had Slev and I on one side, Miller and Kalo on the other, and Code in the middle. It makes more sense for one of the pairs to pick up Code, and Slevered's only border with any of them was Miller (who is probably the best of us at the mod except Slevered) so I stuck with him.

  Corey and Mod team.  I'm very impressed with the work you have done so far and are continuing to do with the mod.  Excellent indeed.  However, there is something of concern.   I've watched the first test video several times and the turbolaser sounds currently in the mod sounds incorrect in reference to the movies.  I do not know if you guys are aware of this or not, but I feel the immersion would be more real with the correct turbolaser sounds.  Another person also commented about the same thing on YouTube.  Just a message from an admiring fan, Mark.

I really like the excellent work you guys do. Something I was wondering while watching the video is how is the difference in lightspeeds done?
