So I've heard that there is some new NS law in USA that demands detailed info from anyone who wants to visit USA. Why does USA need so much info from anyone who goes there?
-
Its to try and stop terrorists from getting in..
-
I think they still get in. and I think that it affects negatively on turism. Who wants to visit USA if you have to give your hole lifestory? And it can't help USA from terrorist that are already there. But do you think USA is safer with that law or not?
-
I dont see how it makes them any safer, i think it just makes the terrorists more determined. And like you said, it wont stop any terrorists already in the US, homegrown or otherwise.
-
And I hope this topic won't go on to bickering about how USA is superior and has rights to do what it wants. I just want to know the thoughts of regular citizens, not politicians.
-
i dont care it isnt gonna affect us just visitors...why are u so interested in our laws meyer?
-
I dont see that it would make that much a difference to the person going here, they're only going to ask for that detailed information if theres something suspicious in your history
-
Thye've been strengthening border security and such for a few years now. It's made entering the states into an extremely annoying process.
-
Yeah, if they dont want you in
And it really should be better, i mean you could walk a nuke up from Mexico right now
-
not if the minuet men kepp it up
-
They do it cause Mexicans and such hate there own Country and love ours :|.
-
Minute men patrol, what, 1/1000th of the border?

I have always wanted to visit USA. But if those laws keep coming I have to rethink that idea. Thanks to you and your laws I can't visit LV! :'( :'( :'(

Although I do agree with you on that it might just annoy tourists (hehehe), I dont know what info they want. I watch the news every night and I havent heard about it! I live here! Congress informs the Finnish before us! (No offense to you)
-
well it has no affect to american citizens so perhaps they think you don't need that info.
Maybe it has something to do with national security.
-
Im glad i went and visited Florida/Disney already (back in 1997/8).. would be too much hassle now.

It DOES just annoy tourists. At least on the Canadian border. People in my city like to go accross the border to buy clothes and stuff because it's cheaper for the good brands over there, especially when the exhange rate has the Canadian dollar higher.
-
Then i wouldnt classify them as 'tourists' exactly
-
theyre just like russians who come to finland to buy better quality toilet paper.
-
wow, for toilet paper? thats a little ridiculous
And its the same here in the US state to state if you live close enough to the borders, taxes vary alot, like minnesota has no clothes tax while other states around it do, so you go to Minnesota to shop
-
and trust me, those russians come to buy tp from Finland. I was with my dad coming out of a store when we saw those bus loads of russians and many of them had toilet paper and clothes and this sort of stuff. and they had lots of them.
-
I have a friend from Russia that when he visits his other family there, his parents bring a hell of alot of stuff for them
-
good for him.
-
Im for securing the border, but terrorists and illegals will just keep coming illegally.
-
Damn those illegal immigrants. why can't they stay in their own country?
-
Cause our P\/\//\/Z02 Meter is off the Charts.
