Title: Leading to Release
Post by: Corey on December 20, 2013, 06:26:13 PM
Hey everyone, I'm sure a lot of you are wondering when ICW2.1 is being released. The mod as a whole is ready. I've addressed the vast majority of the reported bugs (those that I was able to reproduce, or were fixable to begin with), so all we're doing right now is some final passes on everything to make sure it's all there. After that, I'll create the installer and we'll be able to upload. This will ideally be this week, however I'm going to be at my parents' house between the 21st and 27th so the internet connection will probably not be good enough to upload the mod. If that's the case, I'll upload it as soon as I get back to my apartment.

We'd like to thank everyone who participated in the beta testing for 2.1, being, in no particular order: Singularity, SettraTheImperishable, Yutpaeksi, Rovert10, tlmiller, Senza, Revanchist, JC123, Lord Xizer, Traon.

YAY US!!

I'm correct in remembering that the full release has the Munificent removed and the Providence in it for the PA, right?

Munificent is staying, Providence is absent.

Oh.  I thought you guys decided you didn't want to keep the Munificent for some reason or another?

Nah, the Munificent was never leaving. We wanted to have the Providence but once it was there I just didn't really feel it was doing anything the Lucrehulk or Venator didn't do better.

OK.  Bummer, I kinda like the design of the Providence more.  :D

That would explain why I can't find the Providence stats to add to the manual..

And TLMiller, I think you were thinking of when we changed our (original) 2.1 plans and switched adding the Recusant for the Providence.

Careful now, you might accidentally persecute someone with that kind of talk.

Hey, you're persecuting me because I don't celebrate holidays lol (I really don't, but could care less whether people say this or not).

Anyways, back on subject: sorry to hear the Providence is cut, but I didn't really see how it would fit in gamewise with the other "supercarriers" of the PA fleet to make it unique. The ship I am most saddened about not making it is the Gladiator; I really really wanted to see that ingame.
