hi it's me again :)
I have a small question...can I change the SSD??? because four is a little bit like a good game :p
If we can do something like that, for example, to change the number from 4 to 10??
-
omg I see here prolem language ;p
I mean the maximum amount. to be able to build more SSD Destroyers
sorry for my fault
-
Should be able to change it in the xml files I'd imagine
-
Thx ;)
if you can point me to a particular XML file?
Because I do not know where it will be this unit
-
Remant_Space_Units.xml look for Generic_Executor and then find the Limit_Current_Per_Player and Limit_Lifetime_Per_Player lines
-
thx man :)
-
ahaha 10 SSD is quite too much for maps that aren't that big
-
I've been tempted to do the opposite, and limit SSDs to one or two for each faction.

That sounds much more sane

Agreed. Except the EoTH, should make a big deal about them having a limit of like 20 at a time, just to mess with all the "EoTH needs an SSD"ers.

Yeah....no
-
I agree, keep the total build limit, but only have 2 at a time.

quick question, how do you even change it? cause i can go into the file, but whenever i try to save my edit, it says something like, read only when doing it on microsoft word, or on XML notepad, "Access to the path 'C:/Program Files (x86)/LucasArts/Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption/Mods/Imperial_Civil_War/Data/XML/Remnant_Space_Units.xml is denied." or on notepad, just simply Access Denied. ive tried to adjust other stuff in the past, but i always run into this problem, its probably a really easy thing to do, probably overlooking some EXTREMELY simple...

Easiest way is to download notepad++ and use it instead.
However, you can always save it to your desktop, making sure to set the correct extension and then move it into the directory.
-
got it working by saving to desktop and replacing the file, didn't effect my saved games, not like it mattered, they all had the freeze anyways...

Well done
