Title: About naming our SSDs
Post by: Senza on June 22, 2013, 04:59:25 PM
Who else is going to name all their SSDs Annihilator every now and then for shits and giggles?

Nope. I'm going to have to steal  a Corey classic and go with "Kalo's Demise".

So wait... you don't name all your ships "Kalo's Demise"?

How about "The EotH does not need an SSD." that would be a good name!

Sadly, that EotH line is too long a name for Sins. But fitting nonetheless, when you have Phalanxes batter that Executor to bits.

I think you mean Knight Hammer, my fellow Imperial.

Well technically both names are correct.... Daala just added a K for the Yavin attack :P

I know, but considering that the purpose of the Knight Hammer's construction was to crush the rest of the warlords (until it's capture) and the New Republic, I feel Knight Hammer would be more appropriate. Jedi Knights and such. But to each their own.

Yes, but it was designed as a stealth ship (not that I see how stealthy a 19km long ship COULD POSSIBLY be, but hey), so Night Hammer works quite well also.  I actually prefer Night Hammer, simply due to it not having anything to do with Dunderhead...errr...Daala.

Well, 19km or 17km or whatever the SSD length is this week isn't all that much in space, as long as they stayed out of the way of traffic and were powered down it's theoretically possible nobody would notice them. Of course, you could question the logic of why you'd make such a large ship a stealth ship, since a smaller ship with stealth systems would be much harder to detect than an enormous vessel like an Executor with stealth systems.

Be pretty funny. When suddenly an SSD suddenly decloaks out of nowhere.

For ambush reasons I imagine it would be nightmarish effective

One thing for sure: I'd call my first SSD Destructor for sure.
This is something i shall not let out, even if Jesus would ask himself.
I choose the hell instead of renaming!

Although it seems as if Sohmer is starting to stretch mightily to continue with a storyline, and thus it suffers.  Nowhere near as funny as it was a couple years ago.

I do occassionally break out with "Slaughter your world" though.  Definitely a top quality song there.

Not bad at all; definitely one of my favorite webcomics (and I am very picky with my webcomics too).
