Vote!
-
Grevious beat like 5 jedi, so freivous easy.
-
yeah. if Grievous can kill jedi just like that, delta squad is no problem for him.
-
But dont get me wrong i love Delta Squadron.
-
I love Grievous.
-
I dont know if Grievous could block laser shots with a lightsaber though
-
I believe he could block some. and he is fast too.
-
Still though, Delta squad had four guns, pointed at one person thats alot of firepower
-
but what if grievous surprises them. and Grievous was able to move fast and hide from the jedi.
-
If grievous was the one surprising, hed probably win
-
Delta Squad, they're less predictable than Jedi, fight outside melee range, and have a considerable amount of ordinance at their disposal.
-
Thats what i was sayin earlier, even if Grievous could block a couple shots somehow, Delta had too much firepower they could concentrate for Grievous to handle
Only way for Grievous to win is to surprise them at really really close range
-
I still think greivous would win ( though I hate him). Hes a cyborg. He has got four arms. He may have some sort of system that allows him to block bolts. He is fast. And he can take a beating. One slash from a lightsaber and any member of Delta Sqaud is toast.
-
I just dont think he had the reflexes to block the lasers
-
I modified my last post.
-
He could, just not as well as most jedi. the lasers wouldn't do much to him unless it hit his organs anyways.
-
Thats what I said:

yep. Grievous had good armor and wouldn't easily unless you hit his organs, which you can't if you don't crack his armor first. besides DS was basically a clone squad with a bit better training. they weren't so amazing.
-
Did you just say a bit more trsining. They had alot of training and specialized equipment.
-
not much more than reg trooper. and they wouldn't even be in there without that game. and there they were given "special" equipment to make it more interesting.
-
They were alot more highly trained than an average clone trooper, all commandos were
-
Not so sure. and even if they were Grievous would still beat DS without breaking a swet.
-
If only because its probably impossible for him to sweat
-
it's a proverb! I know he can't swet. let's say then that he could beat DS with ease.
-
I know, i just thought to throw that in there
-
and I thought that when I posted it I should note that I know he can't swet.
-
But then i wouldnt have been able to make such a witty comment
-
I decided to give you a chance. ;D
-
Wait, do you mean chance?
-
Well what are the Circumstances? Are they in a wide open area? Grievous is slow and bulky, so they may be able to take advantage of that...So i vote Delta Squad.
-
Agreed with Kalo. Depends on the scenario.
Let's see an open field...
Two gunners with rifles keep his sabers busy blocking shots
One anti-armor man makes him weave back and forth to dodge shots
One sniper who can aim at openings in the armor
If that fails, they got their pistols and vibroblades.
-
Since when was Grievous slow?
-
They could always be far apart
-
But what if the battle was in a maze? DS would have to split up to search the hole maze and then Grievous would strike.
-
Why would they be in a maze?
-
Why would they be in a open ground?
-
Because there is probably a 700000000000 to 1 ratio when comparing open fields to mazes
-
It even states it, not to mention if you hit him with an Ion Grenade his Bionic Implants will have an Epic Failure.
And i meant like, say a Hangar :0.
-
It could always be a noob map ;D
Anywho, if it was a maze, then Delta could just wait in one particular area while Grievous runs around and finally running into an ambush. Or maybe the whole squad can travel together; better a slow victory than no victory.
-
in a maze Grievous would just walk throught walls. and in open ground: who says that the DS gets a hit on Grievous? he moves fast.
-
Grievous wins no matter what.
-
Even when at the bottom of a 100 meter pit, 10 ft wide, with particle shielded walls while Delta sits above?
-
I doubt he would win there, unless he climbs, while blocking their blasters and dodging their rockets. Although that is very unlikely.
-
The walls are shielded, so he cant climb
-
Then, he is screwed.
-
Unless he throws Four Lightsabers...
-
Even when at the bottom of a 100 meter pit, 10 ft wide, with particle shielded walls while Delta sits above?
How would you get Grievous in a place like that? I tell you there is no fucking way he will go to that kind of an trap.
-
Im just sayin that cause Raptor said he would win no matter what
And I doubt how good Grievous would be at the whole lightsaber toss thing, he doesnt have force-powers
-
yep but he could throw them at great accuracy and speed thanks to his programming and power.
-
They just wouldnt come back unless they fell straight back down
-
yep but he could throw them at great accuracy and speed thanks to his programming and power.
But unlike Jedi he can't use Force powers to adjust their course if/when the target moves.
-
I didn't claim that he could. I just said that he could throw them at great accuracy.
-
I know, and im just pointing out a weakness he has with throwing them, apart from the fact that he has to go pick them up afterwards :P
-
if he cares. he has lot's of sabers.
-
At least 4, but he did kill a lot of jedi and he took all of their sabers.
-
He dodnt neccessarily keep them with him though, i think he only kept the ones from the best jedi
-
I read that from somewhere too. only those he valued.
-
From wookiepedia: "Grievous hunted Jedi for sport, keeping the four lightsabers of his most powerful victims within his cloak as trophies of his superiority."
I think that means he only had the 4 with him
-
yep. but he could have carried more if he had wanted to.
-
Sure, he could have carried a hundred if he wanted, but he was to arrogant to ever carry more than 4 probably
-
well with four hands four sabers seems quite obvious choice, don't you think?
-
Well, he could also supposedly use his legs too because he had repulsorlifts 'installed'
-
wasn't that only in the clone wars cartoon?
-
I dont know, i just remember reading it on wookie
-
ah. well I don't believe that. and can you imagine Grievous floating in air and usnig 6 lightsabers?
-
I can, its rather humourous
-
yep i can too
-
How would he use his feet if they had to pointed at the ground in order to levitate?
-
Tat was just CW cartoon. Don't take it as canon.
-
although the new clone wars cartoon im sure we can consider canon
-
Agree'd, Considering Lucas is behind it and all.
-
He wouldnt have to point them towards the ground, they shoudl just make him float
-
but I doubt it would happen. those repulsorlifts would need a energy source and there is none in Grievous that would be powerful enough to support him.
-
Batteries? And how else do his arms and legs move? Magic?
-
those repulsorlifts would need a energy source and there is none in Grievous that would be powerful enough to support him.
meaning: there is not enough power for him to move and have his repulsor lift on. And where would it be? there is no sign of it in him in the movie.
-
It wouldnt take all that much space, we can make batteries the size of stickers, im sure they can do better
-
but those batteries aren't so effective.
-
They are over 3 million years ahead of us technology wise, they know how to blow up suns and travel faster than light, i think they can handle powering some repulsorlifts with a small battery
-
well I still doubt he has those repulsors.
-
but they arnt over 3 million years in the future i quote
a long time ago
in a galaxy far far away
-
and i qoute "They are over 3 million years ahead of us technology wise"
pay attention
-
where do you get that 3 million? I have heard it from somewhere but I don't recall it just now.
-
Its probably just an estimate using to obscure data..
-
I dont remember it from anywhere, just guessing really
-
I have heard of it somewhere. can't just recall where.
-
well i think 3million is a bit to far
-
yep. hyperdrive was invented circa 25000 BBY
-
you mean bby?
and the star wars time frame doesnt really matter
-
And why it doesn't?
-
Because we have no idea where they were in comparison to us, i mean the basis for time we use is the battle of Yavin, and you cant compare ours to theirs based on a fictional timeframe
-
yep. we can't know for sure. but aren't we quite far from the topic?
