What drives a country to civil war? What is good enought reason to fight against your fellow countrymen?
-
Disagreements.
-
Well if you are living in democracy like USA, can't those disagreements be settled without civil war? And still you had one. And so did Finland that also is a democracy. So I think there has to be more.
-
Very major disagreements, that are exploited by people who want a war.
-
And who want war? those who benefit from it. And who benefit from it? Weapons manufacters.
-
In the Civil War slavery was a major issue, but hotheads like Yancey, don't be surprised if you hadn't heard the name before, twisted the views into the great revolution. The people that wanted it were people that had no idea what it would mean.
-
In Finland the war started because communist fuckheads wanted to join Finland to Soviet Union, with semi-autonomy. Exactly to the state where Finland was under russian rule before 1917.
-
That is also a common reason, kind of like the Russian civil war.
-
yep. commie bastards versus Nikolai II.
-
I wish neither won.
-
I hope they would have destroyed each other.
-
But they didn't and we have to live with the consequences to this day.
-
yep. well one consequence is that Finland is independent.
-
That is good. some bad consequences are commie states, russia having nukes and all of their border disputes.
-
yep. Nothing good comes without a prise.
-
I've been thinking and that is true
-
sadly yes.
