So where would you serve your country.
Option 4 is for those who live in USA.
-
air force cant beat it maybe
-
I'd serve in the army, even though it would probably be safer to serve in the navy.
-
No fucking way I'm joining any of em.
-
i wont join the armed forces unless we make a space fleet
-
If i joined any of them id picked the Air force if only to fly a Raptor or something better
-
Air Force! Hoorah!
I'd want to fly the F-35 Lightning II. F-22 Raptor would be my second choice.
-
navy all the way *dreams of commanding a carrier* :P
-
No fucking way I'm joining any of em.
who is this "em" you are referring?
I would love to to be a member of a tank crew.
-
'em meaning them, except I'm extremely lazy.
-
3 losers on board who admit it.
-
Admit we're lazy?
-
cowards, hippies.
-
I would not mind fighting if my country was actually in danger.
But right now, I would not enlist, because I would only get my ass killed in the name of corporate America.
-
It is your duty to your homeland that you sacrifice 6-12 months of your life to defend it.
-
Yay! You insulted three staff members! Congratulations, you're about to earn your first week-long ban.
Just because we don't want to fight against things that either don't exist yet or do not need fighting against doesn't mean we're cowards or hippies. If there was something I actually believed was worth fighting against, then I would join up. Theres no point in risking your life for things you don't believe in.
-
Well, actually, usually in the US it's around four years. Nezill, don't enlist then. Go to college and get a commission. You get a higher salary that way.
-
Find me a reason to sacrifice and I will.
-
I honestly can't give you a good reason. There are many reasons to join the military. I, for one, am going to pursue leadership ability and criminal justice experience by becoming an officer in the USAF Security forces. I'm not necessarily joining to fight in combat, but I'm joining to gain valuable experience in an environment I'd enjoy being a part of.
-
I'm sorry if my text insulted you but don't expect me to change my opinion just because you are staff members.
-
You don't have to change your opinion. It seems Finland has a lot worth putting your life on the line for. In America, at this point, all we do is start wars because we're bored, quite frankly. That isn't something worth dying for. I personally don't wanna die in Iraq because Bush got bored and ordered an invasion and a side of home fries for breakfast one morning.
-
We didnt start a war because we were board. They started a war by flying 2 planes filled with American citizens into 2 buildings which resulted in 3,000 deaths. Lets not forget the pentagon and pennsylvania bombings.
I would be in the airforce and fly an F-22. My second choice would be a F-18.
-

You got a point. Would you go into army if your homecountry would be under invasion by someone? I mean that's the point in Finland. Small country next to the biggest country in World. Only choice we have is to have an large trained reserve.
-
Raptor, Iraq had absolutely nothing to do with the 9-11 attacks. We went into Iraq under false pretenses. We had absolutely no reason to be there. Afghanistan I can understand, but Iraq was completely pointless.
-
Tyrant, you are the first american I respect.
-
Let's not start this discussion again. End of story.
-
Agreed. This argument is irrelevant to the topic.
-
I'm sorry if my text insulted you but don't expect me to change my opinion just because you are staff members.
You directly called the three of us losers, thats flaming. I dion't expect you to change your opinion becase we're staff, but I do expect you not to flame people here.
Also, the only wars Canada gets into most times are the ones they are forced to by the United States, or small peacekeeping operations (Our troops once had to get tickets for a commerical jet to get to their mission thin). Our equipment is complete shit as well, there has been major cuts to the budget by the government though I believe Harper may plan to do something about that. What the United States fights for, Canada has to fight for as well, and there's no way I'm going into any of the States' wars.
-
Arb, I really can't blame you. The US does some stupid stuff. We'll probably end up going after some other dictator next, probably Cuba, North Korea, or Venezuela. The US doesn't like any of them.
-
The problem is the States makes up over 80% of our exports, so we can't piss them off any more than we have or we're screwed, therefore we have no choice but to follow the states or risk or economy crashing. It doesn't help that Bush thinks he owns Alberta and the northern parts of Canada as well.
-
He's gone in a year in a half, fortunately. He makes a lot of stupid decisions, and honestly, I'm glad I can't join the military until after he's gone. Idiots like him are what gives the US a bad name.
-
You are right Arbiter. Canada dosn't go to big wars and it's army propably isn't that big. but neither is Finlands. And what does flaming mean? does flame usually refer to fire.
-
Flaming pretty much means insulting people.
-

People like you are what gives hte U.S. a bad name. When our own citizens are insulting the president, that is when other countries know something is wrong.
-
Well, they're insulting him and the rest of the Bush Administration because of their choices. You don't support something when you know it is wrong. The first clue that there just might be people that think Bush is an idiot should have been when Bush technically wasn't elected.
-
You can think hes wrong but dont curse at him and hate him.
-
I'm going to hate him because he went and caused a load of problems for a country that already had too many to begin with, and dragged my country into it as well.
-
Are you saying the U.S. has problems.
-

Its people like you guys that give US a bad name. President Bush went to Iraq because he thought that there were WMDs there. If there is or if there would have been, he would have saved millions! Millions! You could have been dead! He went there because he thought it the best option. He staying there because he doesnt want it to look like America got scared and ran away. Have you listrened to any of the commanders? The surge is working. Meyer its people like you that Pres. Bush is trying to save in the War on Terror. Dont call it the War in Iraq because its not. Bush made his stand and its time we start making ours. You cant run away when you here a bullet, no you shoot back. You my friends are brainwashed, winy teenagers! He did what was best for the world not his image! Thats what you should care about too. When you can do a better job, then I will listen.

Its called the Electoral collage, its in the consitution!
I'm going to hate him because he went and caused a load of problems for a country that already had too many to begin with, and dragged my country into it as well.
Just cause we went to war doesnt mean you have to! Just looking for something to compain about.
-
No. We HAD to go to war. Bush threatened to eliminate a lot of trade with Canada, and make the stuff he didn't eliminate harder for us to go through with. Canada had no choice but to head off to the middle east.
"If there had."
You can't justify an invasion because if they had WMDs they could have done things with them.
-
Looks like Canada is a little dependent.
-
The government is trying to open more trade with other countries, except the proximity to the states and the fact that we have things you need means we do a lot of trading with you.
-
Of course.
-
If we went to war with Canada, you would have alot of problems.
-
Yes. I know, we would lose. But then you'd probably have to fight the rest of the world.
You can't deny that the sattes has problems, every country does. It's just the states has very serious problems that it needs to deal with.
-
You are right. Every country has problems.
-
I'm saying that the States have problems that are slightly more urgent than making more people hate them by fighting a war against an idea. Such as the $10,000,000,000,000 debt and overdependancy on oil for example.
-
Show me quotes and ill beleive but, since most of your talking is just brainwash I wont until I see it.
Looks like Canada is a little dependent.
Yes, if the US should stay out everyone elses buisiness than maybe we should keep to ourselves from now on. No more charity, Red Cross, defending small Euoropean countries from communists, and bringing about treaties and truces.
If thats what you want then maybe someday you will get it.
The government is trying to open more trade with other countries, except the proximity to the states and the fact that we have things you need means we do a lot of trading with you.
What? We dont need stuff from you guys. I would personally like to bring all nations that are oblivious to there own miniscule amount of importance down to an appropriate level.

What? If thats the way all Canadians act then you need to look at Mother France.

Once again how would Canada fair? It would only be a year before the US was able to sustain its self but Canada would never last.
-
never last against what.
-
Show me quotes and ill beleive but, since most of your talking is just brainwash I wont until I see it.
What could I possibly gain by pointing out America's flaws? Get somebody from your government tell everyone I'm a nutcase, or maybe just make Americans aware of their current debt? They already know they're in debt, and many know they are overdependant on oil- it won't last forever. Or maybe since I'm just a 15 year old mod leader in southern Ontario, people who have any sort of power won't care what I have to say? Gasp!
Looks like Canada is a little dependent.

By all means continue doing your work where it's actually helping. Canada doesn't depend on your charity or red cross, and we're certainly not a small european country. This is about trade, not world policing. The states do not produce a great percent of their used oil, lumber, food, etc. The states relies on the rest of the world.

I would personally like to point out to the States that they are not the rulers of the world. what makes you guys so important, eh? The fact that you guys BUY 80% of the things we sell shows that you are, indeed, dependant on the rest of the world.
Yes. I know, we would lose. But then you'd probably have to fight the rest of the world.

Canada would lose the war, yes. But the chances of the states ever becoming self dependant with it's current land are slim to none.
also, I don't see the States and Canada going to war anywhere in the near future. It would be too costly for both sides, and both benefit from the current relationship.
-
We are hardly brainwashed. We can think what we wish to. You may not agree with my opinion GrndAdmrlPellaeon and Raptor, but that gives you absolutely no right to flame me or any other staff member. I have just as much right to an opinion as you do, so stop the flaming. I don't have to like Bush to be a good American citizen. Arbiter isn't a nutjob for not liking the way our country treats his. Flame any staff members for our beliefs again and you will be banned for a week.
-
I did none of this flaming flaming.
-
Arguments like this over things we can't change, at the moment, really inspire me. And the big amount of debt is actually the fault of all of the recent former presidents, not just bush.
-
Anyways, locked. These debates just go in circles and result in certain people flaming sertain other people.
