You guys are awesome. Very well done and visually appealing mods so far.
My question pertains to hyperspace travel. Is there any way to get the ships to all enter hyperspace at the same time without having to carefully position them first? In other words will the ships wait for the group you've selected to be ready jump to light speed? And will they all travel at the same rate as the ship with the slowest hyper-drive? I've only played the mods so far so I'm unsure whether the vanilla supports this already. I have so many more questions but I'll refrain from spamming you guys with my giddy excitement. THANKS! (hm)

I don't think there is a way for them to stay together during hyperspace but in the command bar there is a big green arrow button in it. If you have a group and you click it you will get three green arrows the ships will then wait for all the other ships to be ready and hyperspace together.
It is advised that you don't have this activated when retreating.

Although it only partially works. It does then take forever and a day to hyperspace, but...they still straddle and hyper in onsies and twosies so that if you're going into a major battle, the first ships are already destroyed by the time the last ship finally arrives.
-
That sounds like quite an inconvenience.
-
Yeah I've found the best way to get your fleet to arrive all together is to designate that the group move as one (one big green arrow -> three smaller green arrows on the command bar), as mat8876 suggested, and to position your entire fleet outside the gravity well of the system they're in. This way they go to lightspeed all at once. However it's not perfect, there really is no way to get a perfect coordinated fleet jump, especially one your fleets get humongous.
-
Yeah, that option already exists in the game. We can't really do much to it beyond what the game already has there.

Well to be fair people don't do a perfect sync on hyperspace jumps either in Star Wars.
They stagger in as well just the interval is shorter. The interval between ships isn't all that long to be honest between 1st and 2nd. Maybe by a 1 to 2 second difference.

If I'm not mistaken I remember hearing about an ISD that slammed into the Executor's shields after a hyperspace jump and was destroyed, so pefectly syncing is probably the least of their worries.

I believe it was 3 ISD's in formation that did a miscalculation.
All of them slammed right into the SSD. SSD shrugs it off while the ISDs get blown to pieces.

Gotcha. I'll try that and see if it's what I'm looking for. Thanks!

Wow, I feel dumb for not having noticed that icon... :P

Games like these you have to explore every button to actually do anything effiecnetly.

Or thoroughly read the instructions. I prefer the click on stuff method better though also.

Or to know Hotkeys. But before you think I'm high and mighty on my pedestal, I don't actually know any of this games Hotkeys except Shift while in the Bounty screen.
-
I know a couple, but what's shift in the bounty screen do? That one I haven't learned.

This looks much more engaging than EaW did so i can just imagine how impressive it will be when finished.

1000 ship battles.

Much larger universe in this than EAW engine was designed for since it focuses entirely on space.

I look forward to battling in this new universe!
