Is NATO a relic from the Cold War? Or is it good that it still exist?

yep it ain't. but neither is Australia. But my opinion is that it would be the best for Finland if we would join NATO. Wouldn't have to fear attacks anymore.

Were they nobles? I mean many noble fled russia when communists took over. But still Russia and communists especially have always tried to invade Finland. It's only a matter of time before they try it again.

Hell, help from USA is always good. I just hate the fact that you think you have the right to do whatever you want. But if you ever attack russia I'm pretty sure that many people in Finland would be happy and would gladly join you war against them.

While this board has gotten off topic, I think that NATO should still be around because the UN doesn't do anything. In my opinion they are afraid to fight. I also hate communism with passion , but I find Russia ok now.

I meant that NATO should act more and USA should stop acting solo like in the war of Iraq. Many NATO countries didn't want to go to war. If NATO would police the world I think it would be much better than the fact that USA is the world police alone.

We declared war to keep the home front safe. So dont start that. I dont see Finland doing anything to end radical Islam. ANd to Arb and Meyer, Canada and Finland both use our aircraft.

We use some american designs... If it wasn't for Diefenbaker cancelling the Arrow project because the Americans sold us the Bomarc missiles (Thank your government for those by the way- they didn'twork.) we would still have the Arrows, and most likel the design would have been improved even more in the decades since then. Instead we got Voodoos. Hurray.

No. We buy planes from you that are inferior to the ones our government destroyed because the Americans sold us shitty missiles. Theres a difference between buying some planes and being dependant on a country. We depend on the Americans for money too much, though.

They're not inferior planes, US jets are the best in the world, only competition is the European Unions newest ones
And just because Canada buys our planes, doesnt make them dependant on us, i doubt Canada would cease to exist if they never had an f-18

The Avro Arrow was, I'm 90% sure, a superior plane. It's speeds topped Mach 2. (MAking it good for hitting anything that wanted to blow up Ottawa or Toronto. Theres no point blowing up any other cities except Vancouver and Calgary, really)

It still didnt have the capabilities offered with the F-18
The arrow was designed as an interceptor, while the F-18 could also hit ground targets

I think that the United States and Canada should become one country. That would solve the military problem.

There is no military problem (I'm pretty sure no to few countries want to go to war with Canada). and I'd rather we didn't get their national debt,and have to share our food and other resources with them (The states getting a hold of all of Alberta and the territories oil won't help reduce the American dependance on oil either). Also, since theres 300 million of them and 33 million of us, it would end up with us just being another state. I REALLY don't like that idea.
