Simple question. My answer is yes. I like dit a lot!
-
you already read it?
-
yep. it was guite short but fraking good.
-
whend you get it, my brother got his yesterday
-
I didn't get it and probably won't for awhile.
-
I got it july 21st. The first day it came out. VGB

There should be an option for thinking Harry Potter is retarded. Because I do!
-
The movies are ok, books suck.
-
Books are awesome, the movies suck. Hardly anyone can act in them. Sirius couldn't have been chosen better, though. Michael Gambon was a bad choice to play Dumbledore after the death of Harris. He is way too angry all of the time. though I can't see Harris actually doing any of the 'action' scenes... for example, the serach for the Locket with Harry, and the duel at the ministry.
Deathly Hallows is probably tied with HBP for my favourite. People say a lot of the deaths were unnecessary, though I only agree in the case of the Lupins and possibly Dobby. Remus and Tonks definately should have survived, though I never actually believed any of the Marauders would survive the series. The death of a Weasley was also not unexpected, so many of them had almost died in the past, though I assumed it would be Arthur or Percy. I liked the end with Voldemort and Harry, though I think there should have been another chapter that explains events directly after Voldemort's death in addition to the Headmistress' office (Assuming McGonagall took the title after his death) and the rather vague epil.

thanks for screwing the book up for me, anyway i agree, Harris was amazing as Dumbledore
-
Hey, I just assumed that if anyone was gonna read this thread, they'd have read the book.
-
i stopped halfway through #5 4 years ago
-
I also thought that all the marauders will die in this last book. But the deaths of Dobby and Fred were horrible. Why they needed to die? Fred and George were my favourites thourgout the series.
-
They needed to die to show how horrible the baddies were and to make Harry feel worse for everyone always dying in his place.
-
you're right. but I still don't like the fact that Fred died. the fact that Snape died is great. traitors get what they deserve.
-
I haven't read any of the Harry Potter books, I doubt I'll ever get around to the new one. :-\
-
the fact that Snape died is great. traitors get what they deserve.
He was just doing what Dumbledore told him to, he wasn't really a traitor. He probably could have easily killed Slughorn, or Sprout (But not Mcgonagall) in that corridor as well.
-
he betrayed Voldemort.
-
Who cares? Voldemort never even pretended he was doing the right thing for the world.
-
I'm probably not gonna end up reading the Deathly Hallows. There are better books to read.
-
I think it is one of the best books ever.
-
I'm sure I could find better books. :P
-
I'm sure you can. not everybody like the same books.
-
Indeed. Have fun finishing the book, if you haven't already.
-
last sunday.
-
I have three books to read for school and im only halfway through the Vong war
-
Well I couldn't but only half of the Yuuzhan Vong War. library didn't have so many of those. sadly.
-
Great book, well written, managed to reveal all of the secrets that fans had already guessed :P Lots of deaths, but that was to be expected. I would have preferred it to start earlier, telling more of the Order's fight against Voldemort, and the chaos within the Ministry. I was also disappointed with the epilogue, which i found to be an exceedingly lame ending to the series, although the Horcrux and Hallows were excellent. One of the key aspects for me was the uniting of the wizarding world; wizards, muggles, house-elves, centaurs, goblins - all of which were depicted in the former Ministry statue.
-
I found it weird that the book didn't explain what happened to Harry and his friends after the school. Did Harry become an auror? and what professions did Hermione, Ron and Ginny take after school?
-
not finished yet but so far awesome
-
Rowling explained what the trio did. Ron and Harry became Aurors, with Harry as head. Hermione became a lawyer.
-
where did you get that info?
