Title: Ascendancy Performance
Post by: Calamitasi on January 06, 2013, 04:00:35 AM
Nice skins, I do have a quick question about Ascendancy though.  SoaSE:R runs pretty smoothly on my laptop, but any mods tend to get extremely laggy in regards to frames per second.  Sins of a Galactic Empire being infuriatingly bad.  Will this mod create as much of a footprint as say SoaGE?  Or am I forever doomed to lag and small skirmishes?

In general our meshes and skins are kept to a smaller filesize than most other mods and the game itself. We haven't been able to do any benchmark testing, but theoretically the mod should therefore run with fewer resources than the base game and those other mods.

This is so good to hear.  I'm hopeful to play larger skirmishes. Thanks for the reply sir. :)

Generally, the whole team plays on Vast. So if it doesn't work like that for us, you can bet we'll try to make sure it does.
