Umm the limit appears to be 1.

well manual says the limit is 15, and thats what i experienced ingame

Hmmm I'm playing Final Imp Push, and built one novatrooper, and then the icon disappeared.

Did a check on the Summary tab, nope just that single group of novatroopers. Give it a try, boot up Final Imp push, build one, and let me know if I'm crazy or my install is off. I really love those little black and gold bastards...

I can verify this problem for Final Imperial Push. Its not as much as there is a build limit set to one because you can actually queue up the unit, but the build icon for Novatroops disappears as soon as you build one.

Yeah I tried that, you can queue up more but as soon as one of them is on the GC map, the build icon simply disappears.
