Title: A Student of Thrawn has arrived
Post by: Charles di Britannia on June 04, 2012, 02:59:30 PM
I love history, particularly military history. I love tactics strategy, and politics. My favorite commander of all time is General George Patton, from WWII. My favorite syfy Admirals are Thrawn, and (pulling a very close second) Honor Harrington from the Honor Harrington series. Favorite tv shows are House, Stargate (all), CODE GEASS and Trinity Blood.

Favorite movie is Dark Knight (the Joker), favorite games are Halo (all) Gears of War (all) and plants vs zombies.
Favorite books are Halo books (all) several SW (too many to name but not all of them)

Favorite song is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EptSSXNHIfg&feature=endscreen&NR=1
I live in the US, Im 21 and Im an avid supporter of the Galactic Empire, Imperial Remnant etc. You get the picture.

Impressive list. As a fellow military historian I find Patton to be a bit of a glory hound and somewhat over rated. In every battle he led he had at least a 5 to 1 ratio of men and equipment over his enemy and enjoyed complete control of the sea and air for his support. My personal favorite was Field Marshal Manstien of Germany, probably the most gifted tactician of the war.
Thrawn is certainly a fav of mine as well, though i tend to like Pellaeon more.
Anyway welcome to the forums and hope you enjoy the mod!
