Title: are the consortiums the only class that can send some of their heroes to planets
Post by: mercury888 on April 18, 2012, 09:04:39 PM
undetected?

It seems like i can just group all my heroes and start attacking a planet. Is there a strategy against that?

OR can the rebels do the same?

The rebellion can do the same thing with a small amount of units.

Its not heroes. Though they do have a few stealth heroes. They can assemble a small force of maybe 2 or 3 units into a "raid" fleet which can be dragged to a planet and bypass the space defenses. Its not really all that useful against a heavily defended planet, but it can be used strategically to knock out things like hypervelocity cannons if need be.

so how do you assemble a raid group? And can you use obiwan or yoda in that said fleet group?

Just put 2-3 ground units in a fleet box, there'll be a little yellow star in a blue box which comes up, and when you move the fleet there should be a fourth circle that comes up saying Raid, like with neutralize hero or whatever other options the game had. I think it's limited to one hero per raid force.

If you exceed it, the star goes away and so does the raid option.

ok so i bunch 1 hero a few tanks and some units to on the space box so they are orbiting the planet...

then you are saying there should appear a raid box?

there is no raid box. Does it appear when you zoom out so you see all the planets? or do you see it in the box when you zoom in to your units?

A hero, a few tanks and some other units exceeds the limit of three. The raid option appears on the enemy planets, you have to be zoomed out to see it. Otherwise youi'd be raiding your own planets.

ohh i get you now.

and you do this by first placing a few units on your own planet then you drag it into a planet right?

So whats the limit? just 2-3 units? only ground units? no tanks?

Yeah. Space units wouldn't be much use.

I had to start the game unmodded, which made me hate myself a little bit, but here:

That's how it looks. You can use heroes, tanks, infantry, whatever, but it's limited.

Like I said in the chat, I don't know of any mod that has created multiplayer GC scenarios.
