Title: Katana Dreadnaught?
Post by: Senza on February 26, 2012, 09:30:26 PM
I was trying to figure out what the purpose of Katana Dreadnaughts is, as far as I can tell the only difference between them and regular ones is that they cost 400 credits more, have blue paint, and shoot blue.

The shooting blue bit. Those are ion cannons, which they have in addition to the regular dreadnaught armament.

Oh, are they indestructable hardpoints then? I don't recall seeing them when I compared side by side. I kinda wondered if that was the case, but I figured it might also have been due to the fact that the Old Republic often used blue weaponry.

Yeah, they're untargetable. This way the hull doesn't get that much stronger/the hardpoints don't each get weaker.

They pack quite a punch. I normally send in 8 of them with and ISDII as a task force like Thrawn used them. That wreaks a lot of havoc with the NR I promise you.
