Title: I am confused about versions
Post by: bharryb on April 22, 2011, 06:59:32 AM
Hello

I jsut downloaded 1.0 an am playing it.

However almost all mentions of the game is 1.1.

I can not find a place to download 1.1, then somewhere else I read it was in beta, but that was posted a while ago.

If 1.1 is available, do I have to remove 1.0 first, or just patch?

Thanks for any help:)

This is a link to the latest version, 1.11- really is worth getting!

As far as i'm aware, it's standalone, that is to say, you don't need a previous version.

Yeah, v1.1.1 is standalone, you need to delete 1.0 before installing.  It is also still a beta, so you need to be aware that there will be bugs and some stuff may be missing, etc.

thankyou very mch guys:D

Is it better than 1.0 in its beta state or should I install it over a seperate copy of FOC?

Am I also correct in thinking I won't be able to play original FoC when I have installed this.

It's built off of 1.0, and fixes a lot of the issues in it, so it's a lot more stable, not less. The beta basically just meant it was the beta for the public release, not that it's somehow worse than the public 1.0. Delete 1.0 completely and replace it with this.

If you follow the instructions and install it to the Mods folder you can still play regular FoC.
