Title: Could there be a new trilogy?

Do you think George Lucas should make another trilogy about the Thrawn series?
Post opinions here
I think he should because it could be filled with just as much action as the rest of the movies. At the end, Thrawn dies, Rebels win, "happy" ending for most star wars fans (rebel scum)

I would like him to do them, but the problem is: you can't use the same actors and just sucks if you take new ones

i think that maybe they should do it as an animated series (but obviously to a much higher quality than what they did for the clone wars series)

Supposedly George Lucas signed on to do 9 different movies.  But at the rate that they have come out so far I don't think that in his lifetime there will be more movies.

He could make new trilogy from legacy era. Drath Krayt Morlish Veed Emperor Fel and so on. And he could use new actors, no need fror the old ones with alldu respect to them

Lucas has said he is not doing sequels. So really its all about the TV series now. We'll see what comes out.
Besides, Thrawn is Zahn's character.. I don't see anyone else doing him justice.

Actually, the number is quoted as high as 12 movies planned. But that eventually came down to 9, and then 6.
It doesn't mean that there were actually screenplays for all those movies, just that Lucas had in his head that the classics would be the middle of the story. Indeed, they do represent the middle of the Skywalker story.. the redemption of Anakin by his son, Luke.

Star wars live-action TV series is coming out in 2009 at the moment.

only if/when they get round to filming it of course... otherwise it could be well into the next decade before it appears on the screen

In my understanding they are going to start shooting it in 2008, according to wookiepedia.
