That and the numerical advantage what Zsinj could counter as he has proven, and he would be even more effective because if not for a plot bunny he would have had Razor's Kiss too. Now imagine all of this with 2 entirely operational SSDs. One could focus on the IR, one on the NR, and this frees the bulk of Zsinj's fleet (since SSDs were equal to fleets on their own) to wage war against the Greater Maldrood. After Teradoc would be defeated and Zsinj gaining back the remains of Crimson Command and the added resources and other forces defecting from the empire seeing his success he could have not just hold his territory, but actually press on until the Ruling Council have to declare loyalty to him or face destruction, at which point he basically have control over even in generous estimates half of the known galaxy.
This leaves him with room to make an early reunification, or in the PA's case let them be at the moment, since the PA would still show no sign of aggression. Thrawn would go back to EotH staying secluded from the larger galaxy, preparing. During this time Zsinj would consolidate his empire and could potentially defeat the NR. By the time Thrawn would return, he would see a unified galaxy with only pockets of resistance remaining, and he would join his EotH into Zsinj, seeing him as he saw Palpatine years before.
Or he might do it from the moment the ruling council surrenders. Both have some things going for it. I believe that the PA and maybe the Hand too would become an Autonomous part of the Empire under Kaine and Thrawn respectively.
And with all those forces behind his back and the tactical genius of Thrawn he would be invincibe. When Palps return would be an another story entirely, but I don't think he would have much going for it afterwards. Most of the people whom allied with him would be already dead or have sworn their loyalty to Zsinj.
But hey, that's just a theory. A STAR WARS THEORY! (game theory style)

Thanks, yeah as I was writing this it dawned on me just how much there was to say about Warlord Zsinj, fascinating character.
Also as to returning safe, it's not a deployment, just going to a training event in the field for 10 days. Biggest threat will be boredom and cold.
Delvardus might give Zsinj a run for his money, he's got some interesting character aspects too...
