I've been playing with the PA and I think that a good way to avoid the freeze to happen is to simply cut the galaxy in half. The Eoth on one side and the IR and NR on the other. I did that and the galaxy looks quite peacefull,

It will always happen when you reach X number of destroyed units within the game (assuming you're not autoresolving EVERY battle).  If you don't reach that number, it will never happen however.  Unfortunately, noone knows how many units that number is.  It's a large number, but unknown of HOW large (although it's easy to reach in certain GC's if you don't play very agressively).

I've been reading about this 'freeze' does it ALWAYS happen when it reaches X number? or is it merely a chance?

Never had the freeze, just a few crashes from killing Thrawn in AoW a while back

just got to week 365 as IR on from the ground up, it got the point of EoTH and NR being entrenched on some planets with a stupidly large amount of ships

The French call those people "Les Sans-B?ta." They're like sans-culottes but with more pants and fewer mods.

Simple answer, yes.  I dare say many of us that have played the mod for a long time probably were crying with laughter at your...umm, what's a politically correct way of saying "complete uselessness"?

Does that have to keep coming up?

Elaborate on that.

I believe him. Have you seen the youtube video?

15. I've never really played the mod. Don't even know how to select units.

Elaborate on that.

I think i got the "dreaded freeze" once in 1.3 but i cant remember the week. In 2.0 my highest was 250 ish as the Eoth on from the ground up.

Since 2.0 went final, highest I've ever managed was 136.  I play nearly exclusively as the Pentastar Alignment though, so that's probably why.  When I was beta'ing the 2.0 as the Empire (era 3), I got past 200.

My best was 1057 as the Hand, pretty crazy watching both the IR and NR go from being kings to being on their knees and back and forth forever. Also it was on from the ground up if anyone cares.
