I would disagree on that regard.
The Yevetha would not use uglies much for their inefectiveness, as well as their implications.
Also they wouldn't have X or Y-wing parts to make uglies out of them.
They were isolated in the Cornach Cluster until the Black Fleet Crysis.

That is true, but what if they were given to a smaller faction say the Dushkan League for example. The Dushkan League got most of their ships from the Long Lost Black Sword Command and used their own Thrustships that they built themselves (and a couple other ships I'm forgetting right now). The Yevetha weren't as equipped with Resources as the other main Factions with only having a few planets and a couple of Shipyards so I think giving them Uglies would be perfect! 1.) Uglies are cheap and inexpensive. 2.) An uprising and new faction like the Dushkan League could use them so they wouldn't have to produce star-fighters of their own and waste their sort-of limited resources. If Uglies were to be implemented into the game, I'd give them to the Dushkan League!

I feel most commanders in the Empire would be far to proud to use them. Pellaeon was disgusted by using Preybirds simply because the Empire couldn't build Tie Fighters like they used to be able to and Preybirds are leaps and bounds better than uglies. As for the New Republic they never really had problems with fighter shortages to the point where they would need them.

Shielded TIE Interceptors are present for Eriadu and possibly Era 2 Remnant.

I didn't know that, that's good news.

neat. I do remember the Invids under Tavira using Uglies besides the Clutches, though i might be wrong about that.

I think you are confusing with the Uglies of Kavil's Corsairs of which Leonia was a part for a time.

That being said I am very looking forward to the Invids' Tri-Fighter "Clutch". For 2.3 maybe ?

Most uglies would make no sense from either a gameplay perspective or a lore perspective. The only uglies that could fit would be the Clutch Uglies for Maldrood.

I don't want to necro and old thread, and a quick search has been inconclusive.
How does the team feel about introducing Uglies in later Versions of the mod, and in what capacity could they be used? Talking about Chir'dakis and X-Ceptors and the likes. Stuff thats incredibly cheap to massproduce, which shows in their combat capabilities.
Thoughts?

E: Another thought: shielded TIE/IN with Hyperdrives for heroes that get spawned when their capital ship gets destroyed, as done by apwar trigit in wraith squadron by aaron allston?
