My first idea of what this would like in Space is like a giant moving Battle station that looks like its about to ram into everything! XD
My second Idea is that it can't be moved but it could call in reinforcements into battle (for a fee of course, like 2000 credits or something) But it'd Hyperspace in like a mini battle group like 2 capital ships and 3 support ships and 2 Anti-Fighter Ships. A second option would have to be 5000 credits and you'd have a full battle group of 5 capital ships, 7 support ships and 5 Anti-Fighter Ships. And it'd be like a 1 time purchase and the battle group would hyperspace in after the Golan VIII!
Phew, there I go rambling on again, I'm glad I got that out. Anyways, I just think the Golan VIII is pretty cool. I don't expect to see it in game or ever at all, so this ends my idea of the Golan VIII Defense Station.

Golan IIIs are all we're gonna have, and that's just fine.
I'd like to see the rebel platform from X-Wing Alliance used in some capacity though. I just like that design.
I meant to say Golan VIII, I must've not put in enough Roman Numerals, but anyways, the Golan VIII were mini battle stations that were equipped with Hyperdrives so they could be mobile and jump into a very important planet's region if needed. I think they were primarily used to safeguard places like Mon Calamari and Kuat, etc. Just very important and Top priority planets.

I think that you're reffering to the Empress-class space station. It had the 3 wedges coming off the center like spokes on a wheel, right? I've been rereading the X-Wing series lately, and am pretty sure I saw it referenced as an Empress.

But only to safeguard very important planets like Bastion, Coruscant, mainly very important planets? I'd love to see those! Although they would probably only be used in Era 5 due to it being the end of the Imperial Civil War and such.

The regular 1-3 Shipyard Level Models are basic and okay, but I wonder if this Level 4 Shipyard will have hard points and defenses like Turbolasers and Ion Cannons. It could be like a "Golan 0.5 Defense Platform!" I always liked that the Shipyards in EAW and FOC had hard points with weapons and you could make them attack independently. I hope this is implemented, or a different idea with the same concept at least.
