Also, the unofficial picture is missing something; the cutouts of the cockpit for side view field.

Indeed, here's quotes from I, Jedi :

The Invids used a form of custom-designed fighter called a Tri-fighter. It started with the ball cockpit and ion engine assembly of Seinar System’s basic TIE fighter—a commodity which, after hydrogen and stupidity, was the most plentiful in the galaxy—and married it to a trio of angular blades set 120 degrees apart. The bottom two served as landing gear, while the third came up over the top of the cockpit. The fighter still had the TIE’s twin lasers mounted beneath the cockpit, while the third tine sprouted an ion cannon. The ships also had some basic shields, which explained why they were more successful than your basic eyeball, and side viewports cut into the hull gave the pilot more visibility. Because the trio of tines looked as if they were grasping at the cockpit, we’d nicknamed the design "clutch".

Corran add later : The huge cockpit windscreen and peripheral panels provided a very good field of vision.

Anyway it will be a very good add and will make Greater Maldrood an even more unique faction :)

And the ARC 170s in the Maldrood rooster will be switched to the Clutch, we just don't have it done yet.
*Looks at the entry* Oh YES YES. I love the Tri-Wing feature on the TIE series; the TIE Phantom, less so the TIE Defender, and now Clutch. Two laser cannons and an ion cannon, some shieldings, slightly slower than X-Wing but more maneuverable. I'm surprised Sienar didn't offer a production model of this!

Why switch them? and are clutch uglies going to be like those ugly tie units mad of many parts?
That at least had something to do with Maldrood. It was a custum ship of Tavira's pirate gang.
also Wraith Squadron posed as pirates in order to join Zsinj's fleet
As I said:
Yes, zsinj really did have an underground network, and did recruited pirates, but they were never an official part of his military.
Also since Maldrood is affiliated with pirates already, making Zsinj affiliated with them as well would mean that his empire and Maldrood are getting more and more similar again.
As I said before:
We also want each warlord to be unique on their own right. We don't need overlaps in their roosters...
And the Clutch was more of an unofficial TIE than an ugly.
It only used TIE parts
The most famous iteration of it looks like this. Though keep in mind that this is not an official picture, as it did not have any.

The maldrood doesn't need nor the Venator, nor the Acclamators in it's role, as it is pretty full as it is.
The same is true for Zsinj as well with pirate unit. Yes, zsinj really did have an underground network, and did recruited pirates, but they were never an official part of his military. We also want each warlord to be unique on their own right. We don't need overlaps in their roosters, and Maldrood is already too much like the PA, we don't need them to be even more similar.

I mean having the venator class and the acclamator for the GM wouldn't make any sense. These ships only appeared as pirate ships and mando ships like once or twice, I don't think that's enough justification for them to be included into a faction. Plus Maldrood already has the ships that fill those slots (providence and bulk cruiser, might as well put the gladiator in there as well). Plus the PA already has those ships and it makes for them to be there so there's no need to repeat ships in that case.Same thing with those fighters, GM's arc  170s fill that role as well. I think Maldrood having just the two pirate ships is plenty, plus they still have one more Cap ship to put into the Maldrood roster, it would make it way to full.

I don't even think Zsinj was even know for using pirate ships.

Here some we could use. (Note some are used by mandolrains and pirates alike)

I also suggest we switch the ton flak escort carrier on Maldrood with the Acclamtor from Eraidu
