So, the first problem I see right there is you renamed the swfoc.exe to "swfoc Modpath=ModsImperial_Civil_War" for some reason. Name it back to just swfoc. When installing the mod, there's nothing you should need to rename or alter.
THAT WORKED. I completely forgot i did that, thank you!

I'm saying specifically don't put the bat file in the Mods folder.

Yeah, that's because the issue you're describing occurs when a folder or the .bat is placed in the wrong location, so it wouldn't be an issue with the game itself or the files, just where they are. The .bat has to be in the same folder as swfoc.exe, the Mods folder has to be in that folder as well. Then the Imperial_Civil_War folder has to be in there, then it should run with the bat. Common errors include people having an Imperial_Civil_War folder inside the first Imperial_Civil_War folder, so it ends up as: \Imperial_Civil_War\Imperial_Civil_War\Data, which is incorrect, or leaving the .bat in the Mods folder.

If that's not working, you can potentially try changing the contents of the bat to:
swfoc LANGUAGE=ENGLISH MODPATH=Mods\Imperial_Civil_War

But I don't think that's necessary. I don't own the GoG version, so I don't know. All I know is that the mod works on it, and that the process should be the exact same as the retail disk version.

The ICW.bat is in the same directory as swfoc.exe, i have tried putting the .bat in the other files with the mod, im still unsure of what you want me to do.
I just tried changing the contents of the .bat to what you said to no avail.

Heres a picture of the directory and inside the mod directory.

Where do you have the .bat?
Also i feel its worth mentioning that the vanilla game itself and swfoc runs just fine, but the mod will not launch. I wanted to include a screenshot but it wont allow me.

Where do you have the .bat?
C:\GOG Games\Star Wars - Empire At War Gold\EAWX
The bat is the ICW.bat correct?

I am having problems with the GOG version as well. Im using the installer version and i install it into the directory that has my swfoc.exe in it, I run the .bat and the cmd window flashes for a millisecond and disappears.

I have tried several solutions, including uninstalling both the game and the mod, and ive even tried creating my own .bat to no avail.

What do i do?

Create a Mods folder in whichever folder contains the swfoc.exe. All of the installation and playing instructions are the same as with a retail disk version, so everything in the manual still applies.

Hello, I have downloaded the ZIP file for the mod, but I am unsure of where to put in within the GOG, Empire at War folder. I have created a Mods folder and tried most anything I can think of. How do I install this mod on the GOG version of Swfoc?
Thanks
