But its still like stormtroopers have like rapid fire blasteres on top of them being super big.
Its just annoying and not something that should have been changed from vanilla

Stormtroopers do fire slightly faster in the mod. They're also using the proper weapon in the mod (the E-11 is an automatic weapon, with rapid-fire settings, albeit also lower semi-auto and pulse settings).

Ground forces are also way faster which just feels out of place, especially without having the increased movement speed buffs

Ground combat in EaW is absolute, irredeemable shit, and 90% of the time is spent waiting for units to get somewhere trying to hunt down the last unit or two, so we sped up the units to make it less painful. Once we have smaller maps back in, we may slow them back down but who knows.

Also ive noticed that sometimes when two infantry units fight each other, the one that gets hit first just stops attacking altogether and dies without doing much damage

Never experienced this, and there's nothing that would make units stop firing in that way that could even be modded to begin with.

For the space lasers I'm pretty sure it's deliberate.  Over the last few versions of the mod one of the more frequent complaints were the lasers being too big and causing lag when there's a lot of action on screen.  The most recent version of the mod scaled down the lasers and made them faster so that they expire quicker (reach target or burn out), thereby reducing the quantity on screen at any one time.

The change with smaller, faster lasers is unreleased.

I don't believe there are any simple global files (or even variables within a file) which can be deleted or changed to alter things wholesale.

Why are most of the lasers, both ground and space, on like rapid fire mode? Even the walk speed of some of the infantry and vehicles is like im pressing the speed up button (But im not)
This is really getting on my nerves
Im not sure if this is how the mod is meant to be played or if its a glitch, but im curious if there is some way to delete any files of the mod that change the speed of lasers (Also the thickness of them would be appreciated, because in heavy space battles its just a clusterfux light show and generally an eye sore
